Hey Albi, not yet mate. Should probably pull my finger out and book something though
Guys apologies i wont be coming to this years NFR things have changed so cant make it
I'm booked in for a trackday on Thursday 8th November to get some practice laps in before seeing you at pheasants nest servo on the Friday for our parade lap to cooma.
My wife said it means I'll have got the racing part out of the way. I reckon it will help get the rapid bike module fine tuned and my eye in so I can kick all of your arses on my gentleman's sports tourer. I have a dual usb charger and voltmeter wired in, ram mounts for my phone and action camera (with mic's near the exhaust and airbox), and a top box mount bolted to the pillion seat.
And a loud pipe, loud paint on the wheels, and flat bars.
Gentleman's streetfightourer?
Fuck I'm keen.
Now now now Chris, you know it's not a race (if I'm not winning)!
I've been talking to Jimmy and he's offered to throw my bike on the back of the ute with his.
The guts of it is my daughter is due to have a baby anytime from about the beginning of November but probably more likely late Nov, and Jodi will simply drop everything and head up to Emerald when she gets the phone call.
This will leave me to look after both the shops (fuckin hoorah). Hence my lack f committment. If the daughter is still intact come the Thursday or Friday I'm in, if not I'm out, I'll have to gamble on getting a room somewhere if I can.
So it's in the hands of my unborn grand daughter if I get drunk and hungover enough to throw up in my helmet on some of the best roads in Australia guess.
I will have 954 china rearsets by the end of the weekend (in between GP coverage). As its a VFR, that has meant removing the swingarm bolt to remove the existing pegs. Since I have removed the centre stand, I had to make up some ghetto supersized jack stands. They are bricks taped together so they don't move around, and a steel pipe through the pillion peg hangers. So much effort, I'm going to add some shims to the rear shock while I'm there.
So, how many am I meeting at Pheasant's nest on the Friday morning?
and what time, mofo's?Attachment 8401
Two weeks to go and I'm excited!
To save me riding to Pheasants nest and down the freeway, I'd rather meet you guys at Sally's corner. That way I get to punt it up Mac Pass and boodle out to the Hume for a meet up.
Either way, I'm going to be there.
Is there anyone other than hooligan and meself leaving from shitney/Illawarra area?
If not I won't bother posting on here any more
Leaving Thursday early
Coming to Wollongong?
Going to the gong and staying at rod numbers place Thursday night
I think its only Nudie, me and Albi actually riding down. Everyone else seem to be trailering.
I reckon we meet in Wgong on friday morning, and then ride to cooma. Basically swap pheasnts nest to Wollongong.
FB is unfortunately busier than the forum.
Lol
I'll be down Friday miday-ish as I have to drop into ACT and collect some more parts for the K7. See you all in Cooma.
Finished the Thing today so im keen, will only be staying over fri night.Early start for work sun
I’ll see you guys at the Alpine Friday afternoon as I stop in on my way home
See you tickets Friday. I'll have Jim in town with me.
Have a good time lads!
What a great weekend. Top roads, great weather and great people. My match fitness is pretty poor and it showed in my flaking out Saturday night again. Thanks to everyone making it another great run!
Thanks to everyone involved. As Luke said the weather was fantastic, the roads as usual were awesome and the company was as fucked up as it usually is! I had a ball and want to say thanks for having me along, even though I wasn't on a fighter.
Bring on NFR 2019!
Nudie, you wheelie better than the rest of us.
And we needed you to move the poorly parked other beemers outta the way.
I cant wait for next year. Less gravel, though.
Don't think the gravel is an optional extra. It comes as standard.
Shit if we had to move all of those beemers we'd still be there!
How you didn't let a bit of poo out I'll never know, I nearly poo'd watching you!
I watched the video. Because my camera was mounted just above my rad, all you see is the front forks flapping back and forth for a bit, and then done.
It doesn't show the back wheel coming around.
You should of mounted it on my bike!
I missed your almost very high side Chris, sounded like a brown pants moment
Was a awesome weekend, great people, great times and fucking fantastic roads.
More stories than I can be bothered to write, but apparently you can drive a turbo diesel 80 series
Land cruiser 1500 Kilometers home to Queensland without any electricity’s. Heavy Sydney traffic
with zero electrical was a fun time until I realized the last hour on the sub tank was a lie and I could run out
at any time. Or stalling in the middle of a 4 lane round about in road works where highways meet, the other time a
20 minute dash 6 km before the shutting of the next nearest supercheep, full bogan in pluggers and thumb out.
The 1.1/2 drive to motel with 1.3/4 of daylight and that was only the Sunday lol
Wouldn’t change a thing, you lads and ladets are legands....
dash 6 km
