Finally decided on a light.....
http://i961.photobucket.com/albums/a... stuff/078.jpg
Thinking about putting the dash here, any thoughts ?http://i961.photobucket.com/albums/a... stuff/081.jpg
looks good just make sure you can still turn your bars without hitting your tank the wheels and light look porn
I'd only have to lift the dash about 10 mm from where it is to clear the tank as it's just sitting there for the pic Rod.
Coming along nice mate. Looks great
Thanks mate, it's hard finding the time to do it with my young fellas following me around constantly but I'm trying...
Probably not many other options for your dash & it looks good there
The headlight looks much tidier, Them bars seem to be angled up quite a bit? Most bars should end up almost flat if you line up the forks with the bars from the side of the bike
A lot of the freestyle motocross riders like to roll the bars forward I think mostly for fashion cause someone else did it & the sheep follow, Lucky most of them only ride over jumps & they are not doing enduro's cause it is a terrible feeling with the bars angled up to me, Some of the TAG dirt bike bars seem to angle up at the ends for some reason?
Do them bars feel comfortable? Have they just not been adjusted to the correct position yet?
The bars actually moved when I took the bike out of my van the other day when I bought it home..... I'm thinking the bars will be replaced with a flat fat bar.
Im going to get these soon>

Well I missed my dead line for finishing this, but fuck there's always next year........
itl happen ,building a bike is about time and money ,time i have ,but no money ,still its coming along fine Dan.
looking good mate
I got myself a similar setup on the light brackets. (vmaxbits) not sure if i am too keen on them. think i may have to rethink. The clamps are fine so wacky if you come up with a better bracket let us know.
Otherwise the bike is coming along nicely although You may have some competition from me regarding which is the slowest build.
Coming along nicely mate. Lookin good.
Looking good brother.
Maybe some black paint on the headlight brackets might be enough to blend them in, The fork headlight mount clamps might look better in black too?
bikes comin along dan ..mate btw i may have found an old X7 lol
Thanks guys. I'm a little undecided on the headlight brackets, clamps and triple clamp colour at the moment, the colour for the rest of the bike will be very dark so I don't want to make it look too much.
Jimmy what is it with you and bloody old suzuki two strokes ? lol
...cos their thinly disguised old MZ 2 stroke racing engines
lol

Righto this where I'm up to with my bike, seat needs sorting, need to mount some wiring, reg/rec etc, subframe is mounted and plastics are screwed to the bike......
Attachment 4407
Then I went and bought this, not real sure if it'll make it onto this bike mainly because I want to ride the fucking thing sooner rather than later, but in the mean time it's a nice bit of kit to have gathering dust...;)
Nooooooo kill it Dan kill it with fire lol
looking good mate
I reckon this thread title belongs to me
This build is getting close to four years Large, 'cos I'm fuckin' slow....
Nice work cum breath,is a reg/rec similar to an advanced/retard unit? I was gunna buy 1 of them but decided to save up for powerbands instead.i can get 3 powerbands for the price of 1 advanced/retard unit.It pays to be in "the industry" and know cunts that know shit.
This bike has an adjustable power band cunty, I can set it up for max power early if I'm going for a ride in the morning or it can be set for longer trips where the power will take longer to arrive.
Reg/rec are the names ya mum goes by when she dresses as a man and does the cock for cash thing....
Hurry up!
that ssa looks awesome and sure is lighter than veefer's one er?
It's an MV unit Surt fucked if I know how much it weighs, like I said not sure I'll use it on this bike, it will the same amount of work to fit it to my 1100.... Who knows it may just live in the cupboard until I find something else to play with....
so i thought Dan, duck or o'gusta... it must be magnesium then
like ur style mate no haste no fuss, looks like u really pick up parts and bolt em on the bike with no pain in arse but we know its not a bolt on stuff
A smart man will purchase parts once and make them fit mate, aim is to build a bike that will use factory parts, but wouldn't look out of place on a bike dealers floor. Kinda a factory custom type of thing....
Sorry but you're just a lazy fucker. My build has taken two years and one week as of last week and is sort of half done. If you need any advice on how to build a fighter in good time just call Lynton . ahem
i reckon large would be close with his zx10 thread
Probably would be, if he wants the title he is more than welcome to it. It's not something I'm too proud of lol.
It would seem that my laziness is the main reason for this build taking so long but anyone with kids and other hobbies that they share with their kids like fishing or just taking the little'uns to car/bike shows etc etc will understand that getting time to do what you need to do to the bike without being interupted is pretty fucking scarce.....
It seems to be a general rule that sssa's weigh a fuckload more than stock swingers. Id love to know what it weighs when u receive it to compare it to others. I have an sssa off a trumpy I can weigh for comparison. I believe Damo weighed the wheel in a t 2kg. Ill weigh my shit for for comparison too.
I weighed my shit once.
The fucking scales smelled for ages.
Must have been all the pies.
