^^^^^I was gonna post that one up earlier today when i saw it^^^^^
Surely someone on here would be tempted to have a go fitting it all together, and finishing her up.
is that davo's bike
It would be perfect for me if I hadn't just sold my '00 750.
bit steep dont you think, even with 895 km. you could get a brand new gsxr1000 or even 1400 for that money or a second hand one have a large amount of changeQuote:

But there are folk out there with money (not me! :(..)
and every man and his dog can and do buy a 1k or a 14.
If my pockets were deeper i'd rather have an "as new"
slabsider than any of the new stuff.
But,with a new 1000/14,in afew years time,it'll be worth half what you paid for it,and every bloke can just go buy one, where as,this will only appreciate in price,i guess you just wont be able to ride it much tho,as you'd have to try and keep the ks low???Quote:

The G was the first one, that model is rare.
The H was the same all the fun of the fair.
The J got the 3 spokes those it gave the edge.
The K then arrived and went in the hedge.
The L got trick forks and tech reached new heights.
The M got more weight and fancy headlights.
The N got new a paintjob the M's better it's said.
That was your lot , the oil cooler was dead
R.I.P. Oilcooled R's

^^^Fark,that looks dangerous Tony^^^^
I don't think i'd ride that.
Look how spindly and flimsy the whole lot of it looks.
Looks like a junkyard build.
I think they were called "Twin Cam's" not "Lotus"
and the quantity was closer to 1000 than 200...
either way...
65,000 POUND!!! for a Mk1 Escort !!!!!!!!!!

Thats a bit steep for a Lotus Twin Cam Escort Tony. One of my mates had one and did a bit of rallying in 1973 or 1974. In fact he lived just around the corner from you in the Habberley Estate. I went for a spin with him one night up to Trimpley and it was very quick. Brings back a few memories.Quote:

There was a bit of an Escort Cult around Kiddy,
Jeff and Steve Hatch, Bart Morris, The Nunn's etc.
A few real nice originals and lots with Cossy motors
or Fiat Twin Cam's.

Yup that's your old Bandit Gitz. Asking price is pretty damn rude after what he paid for it ! We don't speek these days, he turned out to be a bit of a user. He also tends to buy a few damaged bikes and then floggs them online, background is normally the same.

"Not to mention the existing 750cc V4 legendary torque.
It will tear your arms off and power lift the front in 1st and 2nd easily...
maybe 3rd (I wasnt game to try)"
One for the Pommies....

Holy Fuck that MK 1 "Twin Cam" is a basket case, obviously I am missing something !!!
Ahh well thats a shame.. I miss that thing, had it since I was 17:( I would have like to see it go to someone who kept it.. Very tempted to buy it back, but not for that price..Quote:
