Have you tried cutting compound on that paint?
If you can be arsed a wet sand, cutting compound and some good wax should fix the paint surface.
If you really get motivated wet sand with 1500 and another couple of coats of clear, cut and polish will have it sorted.

Very minor update, I'm on holidays at the moment so in my boredom I went up to my workshop and finally knocked up a gauge bracket and did away with the discrete cable tie job I had before..

Nothing majorly fancy just some 30mm x 3mm flat bar and some 10mm roundbar, after a few little mockups it was a relatively quick and effective job.

Even though the cable tie job I had on previously lasted both 2010 NFR and this years AFR, it was getting the better of me and had to make something a little more permanent.
I'm still deciding whether to ride the R1 or the TL ???? Fairly confident the R1's Supercorsas will be shredded by the time I finish the 1500kmish trip, so at least I can get full use out of them and obviously cos its a fighter.. But the TL is just so much fun :D

Cheers Rod, Nothing was actually wrong with it, Its just my hoses were too small for the holes in it and coolant sloshed up out of them and all over the side cases, easy wipe off clean just annoying..
This is only a temp fix for NFR, until I get hold of some little rubber grommety thingys to fill the void around the hoses..
I'm just going to drill some tighter holes in this alloy drink bottle and voila :D

Just replacing the stuff that didn't make the change over with the forum..
I also bought some Oxford Luggage for NFR, magnetic tank bag and a tail bag, but to attach it you either need luggage tie down points or not so aggressive pillion pegs..
So I decided to Make myself an Adapter Adapter Ala Matty Magoo, so that the Occy Straps would be effective with pillion pegs removed altogether..

Ignore the lonely pillion peg, an exhaust bracket will be there instead, takes 2 seconds to fit, and works well.
