should have brought a Kawasaki
Nah, I wanted a bike to ride, not sit in bits in the shed all the time :P
With the drilled discs, reckon you could trim one down to ~270mm diameter without a hole being on the edge?
Most of the disks are undrilled only a few models where from memory
And don't fret quality is worth waiting for lol
The old blokes knew how to get shit done,
To change fork offset they would use yokes of
other model Kawasaki's.
Today in the heat machining this front wheel to suit
narrower fork spacing of one such race bikes

bloody ally swarf seems to go everywhere hey, made some polycarb sheet yesterday and fitted magnets so you can put on the table, works ok,nice work mate
I might have to come see you about modding an RS250 rear wheel one day Lynton.
Oi! Get in the queue, I need to book my frame in.
Kinda boring and slow progress on the frame jig but I think
I have sorted the design for the swing arm pivot mounting assembly
Knocked up a test nut for the thread cutting
I am using 80x60 hollow bar and screw cuting a 62x 2.5 thread
http://i1136.photobucket.com/albums/...psgub3cutr.jpg
That looks like a boring job!
i'll get my hat....
my thoughts precisely...... now for the rest of the pain, sighs machining sux arse at times
This is one off and I thought of palming it of to you trav :-)
Thank you to btw, will be some things I will have you do into the future
if things go to plan
Got this far last night, made a start on the 250long 62mm x 2.5 threaded though bars
http://i1136.photobucket.com/albums/...psy3l9hfuh.jpg
some of this......
http://i1136.photobucket.com/albums/...ps7uolpywr.jpg
then some of screw cutting
no picture, because screw cutting that's why, tip load at 2.5mm pitch at 62mm dia in a higher tensile steel deserves your respect......
end result

machining really is a pain in the arse but two nights over the weekend in the shed getting progressively fucked
up and streaming music made this not that bad of gig ......
will be moving onto the threaded housings and upright next, still a heap of work to do and this is just the swing arm pivot mounting points...... I really question if the extra effort of my designs are worth the extra hassle and expense. There are
between 5 and 10 frames to be done straight up just between us and fuck it why cant I have the coolest toys.....
Top shelf.
What took so long ? I was there over a week ago and this is all you've done ????
Nice work mate.
Thanks lads,
Btw Dan, I'd been looking at that blank steel
for a week before you turned up. Took me that
long to decide the matching sequence
Made some progress on the threaded housing and managed
to finish one.
