just tried it on a fucked uni track gpz 1100 head I use for mock ups
the uni track had the tuffest paint of all the z's and is a real pain to remove back to casting
using a medium glass bead that I use in the wet blaster it took it off like butter while at the same time
didn't rip the surface. Still not the tool for softer alloys but this in cognation with the wet blaster will work
very well, cut down on time and hard work on the wetblaster. All this still didn't stop it costing me nearly
1K by the time all is said and done tho...... fuck I could have built 5 bikes for what this exercise is costing me lol
Thanks ben, yes the z ones are alloy. These have had the disk removed and Daytona
period race disks installed and the machining is so it fits the dymags
testing on old head side to side, also done some testing with finishing with wet blaster. Much happy

I have a sore head, started final design of the pivot mount for the frame straightening jig.
I am using a cross between a moto jig brand, motoliner brand and the automagic of japans custom jig as
a guide to a design that works with my lift jig table

had a look and found I had almost all the spares to add the air dust blown down in the new blast cabinet

the manifold is a old durin styled kit we have modified to fit the sc14, yes they are cast in bust plates.
They are atm missing the springs and yes it will be draw though. With the positive displacement
he will have constant boost no matter of rpm, spring tension is set above boost pressure. My understanding
it is only under backfire conditions that they can be pressed open and once the energy spike has passed
they shut. It has been std fair in cars and racing for some time, don't make it ideal and I can always just wind extra
spring pressure and block off but from what I have been told it should work fine.
I know it's been around for ever and it's for back fires, I just don't like the idea..
Having said that I don't really have an alternative option for you...
I wonder if you could run so piping (somehow) to get the released air away from the hot bits...
Or a wastegate on each side with a screamer pipe pointing away from the engine????
Years ago I worked for a joint building and fitting Superchargers. Had a kid come in one day having issues.
He was running a draw through with a burst valve and a blow off valve.
Bloody thing was going to catch fire cause the blow off valve was right about the headers against the firewall....
I made him push it out of the factory when he left cause he wouldn't let me change anything.
I wouldn't wind up the pressure on the springs, it'll just make it harder for them to open and possibly do damage to the blower or carbs.
Better to let them open as easily as they can.
agreed mate, this is only my 2nd blown engine so im working a lot to what the boys tell me.
the drag bike had a blow off valve as a burst and that is how it was set, just above working pressure.
Funny you should say that about the lads car, back in the day I did high end car audio
long story but leaky fuel tank and hot wires with no grommets don't mix so then there was
nearly a punch up because I cut his cable at the battery and then the fire wall and handed him the piece.

Spent the night finishing the machining on the bases of the
new frame jig. These will hold the frame through the swing arm pivot.
