Looking great, dude! I usually prefer the blacked out thing, and having mine down to almost bare frame had me thinking about powdercoating... but, I decided to stick with the alloy look.
Whichever way you go, it'll look fucking sweet!
Well done!

I reckon it needs to be blacked out tho!!
Finally fitted the coolant overflow catch tank/thingy, very handy the 2 tapped bolt holes on the side of the radiator.. just a strip of alloy and some ties and presto.. nice and neat I reckon..

Yeah that looks good mate.
Is that actually in the radiator itself? How have you sealed the fixers? Won't the pressure make it leak after a hot ride now?
i was thinking the same si
I'm confoozed.. I set it up like this pic.. there are two threaded holes on the opposite side of bottle out of sight.. In one I put overflow hose from the rad and in the other I drilled out a pressure relief hole so it can breathe, which I'll connect a drain hose to and route through to underside of bike when I buy some.. and the drain hole is on the underside.. Is this not a good setup, meaning have I done something wrong?? I'm a little radiator retarded.. I don't want bike to go boom boom.. I went for a ride and all seemed ok though... fill me in lads..Quote:

looks great mate, i like that tank too
I was on about the way you have mounted it mate, you seem to have drilled the mouting plate directly into the right hand side chamber with two black allen bolts. I'm unfamiliar with the set up. Did you use two existing holes and they are the original bolts or did you drill them in yourself. I could be totally overlooking something....
hang on a minute i just re-read your post i thought you had drilled and tapped holes into the side of your radiator but its has threads in it standard yeah?
oh and BTW if your gunna keep stalking(recruiting) members in your dunnydore you might wanna tint them windows to champ ;)
Sorry mate, I should have checked the R1 radiator before I opened my mouth. You used existing holes. Ignore my waffle mate. Now and again you see some funky things on here but I should have known you wouldn't be that naive and I should have looked into it more. I looked at this:

and your previous pictures.
Ah, Rod, you saw the same thing.
..oh, and tint your windows....
great minds think alike mate
Lol.. Nup existing holes Si & Rod - very conveniently located, you had me worried there, I thought I flucked up lads..
If I tint the windows on the bombadore it'll make my photos too dark.. maybe if I mount a google cam on the roof all will be sweet.. :D
just leave a gap in them somewhere
