Now that was fucken cool, great find Todd.
When I visited the Harley Museum in Milwaukee those things were the best exhibits IMO.
EEERR not Indians of course but the Harley versions.
256 mph = 413 kph.

Gear vid Tony, brings back memorys of the days when Dave O was one of the great tuners and racers of the busa, sadly he died while racing at one of the mile events, One of the guys i realy wanted to meet and never did...
Didn't know that. Thats a shame.Quote:

I've lost count of the times i've watched that clip.
Stock crank and bore, 6th gear wheelies, only done 12 run's, 413kph.
Its a different world. It impresses the hell out of me.
I ran my unrestricted 04 at its top end a couple of times,
I really struggle to imagine adding another 100+kph onto that.
Builder and rider, both legends in my eye's.
found this while surfing the net..

If your a fan of Rotarys....
This was last time i was in the Bike Museum in Birmingham, UK.

A guy I know here in Brisbane (who introduced me to ASF) has a
JPS race bike here that was involved in the team winning the UK
Superbikes a while back. Not sure if its race or data-logging bike.
He showed it at the Story Bridge show a few years a go.
He or his Mrs sold another of their "Street" Rotarys to a local bike museum here in Qld.

wow tony my mate would be creaming over that lot..
i was chatting to him last night about the rotarys and he said he nearly got his hands on a JPS last year..
i know he was interested in a damaged re5 but hard to find parts for.
Pretty sure there's a spare Spondon frame (might be a Harris)
and an awful lots of engine parts etc local to me.
Dont think the owner has any interest in selling though.
The Norton Rotary's can trace their history back to a Triumph prototype.

I`m quiet jealous Tony, i wouldn`t mind take`n a look at that museum in Birmingham, i`m a bit of a rotary nut.
