I'm just impressed you have an air-hockey table in the shed.

Tony I spend so much time in the shed I was starting to get board
problem solved :-)
not much to update, adulting is way over rated......
lots of little things cleaned up but have finally got back around to the wiring on the lift table, almost there

Hell yea! That's some serious lift table mate!
You what they say si, go big or go home lol
To be honest I haven't seen anything like it so I'm rather chuffed
Hate to think what it would cost to buy something like it, I dragged
the main unit out a scrap bin and it still owes me around 2k in materials
First job, Needs a stripper pole and neons
Ivan's on to something mate....
As long as there isn't any uv blue lights, that could be embarrassing......
Stripper pole, sounds interesting..... hopefully build it and they will come
Holds true
Oh don't do that Jules, Rodney will be up here to rape my poor table...

Ocd...... never heard of her..
More updates coming, as apossed to, more up dates cuming...
And this is what I was making in the last photo
Swevel angle pallet plates for the screw jacks for the frame jig.
I found every different frame needed different tops for the jacks.
Problem solved while adding the added benifit of angle adjustment.
Now I just bolt to the plate what ever attachment I need at the time

I'm guessing you have jobs lined up after all the work you have put into the table mate?
Not particularly si, I have a heap of my own and more than a few of my
friends with some other interested parties. I'm guessing I will have if I decide
to go down that path. The main reason im building all this is that was just
the way I thought it should be done ( properly engineered) and I enjoy building cool stuff.
I really need to have a chat to you one day about some of my plans for the future if I go that way.
Ben has shown how hard it is to make a living out of this type stuff and to be honest he is better
at it than me,
I should mention that some of my designs are geared towards some of the more extreme projects
I hope to be doing, widening frames, cut and shuts, motor changes etc. should work in the same vain
as the drag bike build. That was were I proved to myself I was on the right path
Just got ramped.....

Wrong Thread?
ben I sure hope not lol
thanks si, I will when the time comes take you up on that offer
Up date, finished up the first bits of clamps and mounts for the screw jack
Pallet plates, these ones are to suit a square frame, will be used on dans bike

Sneak peek of the screw jacks in use on a up coming build on dans gsx

I'll do a separate build thread but spent a few hours and knocked over a little job
Cut the steering stop off the top of the neck and moved to the bottom.
Machined some stops and tapped into the bottom yoke.

So Jason and I spent some time sipping beer tonight and worked on the stance and what arm to use in my dans efe. Part of the idea with my system is being able to isolate the frame from both ends thus making it easy to do so this while also gaining hard data on things like clearance, rake and trail etc. this build will need top and bottom shock mounts etc. That is were the lift table and jig set up will really come into its own. This set up at this point of time is only the ruff mock up stage but I am really digging this bike for pure old school streetfighter mussel bike cool.....

You certainly have some major skills Lynton. Engineering porn at it's best!
ozzy what arm are you using and apart from the new shock mounts and spindle size was it a snug fit............I'm after picking up a frame and a few more bits
for a efe build....
rgds Mc
I believe that's a Bandit swinger sitting in there.
As Ben said that's a bandit arm, seems busa arm's are another easy install,
It comes down to taste. I had a bandit arm here spare and feel it suits this build.
The bandit arm only hat spaces the centralize and step diameter down to the 16mm
of the efe pivot. The efe is wide though the pivot so really lots of arms will fit. Clearance
onto the subframe is the only real issue. Bandit arm suits the oil boiler gsxr rims for axel
diameter and tyre width of the 180 on 5.5 rim. I have looked at a busa 6" rim tight but will fit.
Needs spacers and machining of the Cush drive but not to bad. Going to take this bike of
the table soon while dan decides on a few options than will be back up for frame mods for the
upper and lower link
Current state of affairs.....
I have seen worse sights I must admit,

The bloke I stripped and hydroblasted some guzzi
cases and gear box for sent me a picture.... omg
what a painful 7 hours work but just look at the result
These started as factory painted parts

..
Wow! Top effort mate. How do you manage to keep shit out of holes etc when blasting, oh, and from blasting things that don't need and shouldn't be blasted?
Si there is just no way to keep the stuff out, sealed bearings even get the shit into them.
I have tried plenty of ways and none work well enough to make the effort worth it.
Prep and cleaning after is the way, hydroblasting is safe on everything so that's not even a problem
Only rime is if I don't want to change the look of something then just taped up works fine.
People are trying to do the work on complete motors etc, I can tell you they are fucking idiots...
Shit goes everywhere
wet blasted vs dry blasted

Paint strip three coats of paint and dry blast....
