When I got home I decided look for a bike more suited to these conditions and got a R1200GS.
There's a bit of a dirt theme happening. I also thought of duel purpose bike but the gixer does everything well enough for me. It's my duel purpose bike as I have 7.5ks of dirt from my shed to the closest sealed road.
Early start.
Went North.
Did a sighting lap.
No cops, tourists or debris from yesterday's storm, then it was game on!

Went for a spin around central NSW down into Vic and back up over the mountains. 2,550k's over 4 days.
I took this on the western side of Mt Hotham just as the bike clocked over 108,000k's. Still love this bike!
