Good Work ;)
Well done. Those pesky 60 footers are the hardest.
Specially on the little bike
Well as things go "The Outkast " is up for a make over again Attachment 5492Attachment 5493Attachment 5494 some may know the bike in the pic's I will be getting some tasty odd and ends to add to the 7 along with the forks and wheels the 9 motor will get a freshen up before getting slotted in to the frame.
Been a fun couple of hours

ummm... they're red....
I did notice that, it took a bit of thinking to get my head around but so far I have managed.
nice Yella are you gonna change the paint now you have red wheels?
Yep paint will change again but as with everything it will take some time and some thought to figure out what to do. Maybe build the 9 and get some real power before paint maybe dunno but it will happen and flat bars as a minimum are a must this time round
if you want gold fat bars I have a set that I thought would do the trick! but i went black !
what rise Low, Mid, High and how much?????
Hi set they are
$20
Im really looking for low or flat for it but next time Im heading up that way I will give you a yell and check them out
MCAS sells flat bars for $22. They work a treat.

Looking for a flat fat bar something like http://www.flyracing.com/product/sno...ack-sno-x-bend
did ya see the carbon ones they do they are awesome , on the yzf there a good width wide but not too wide
Never understood fat bars myself.
Is it merely for looks or is somehow beneficial?
Dan,
I'm more trying to play it safe with the fat bars I'd say as I've seen a few standard bars when the bike is dropped. I actually had a set on my CB600f that bent and left an indentation with the shape of the throttle cable in the tank. I would say that the fat bars should probably bend / distort less and also closer the edge of the bar due to where the bars taper down
Plus, they look awesome too. Don't like the look if skinny bars
What are your fatbars made of?
Personally I think it looks odd to have a swollen lump in the middle of the bars only to taper down to 7/8ths anyway.

I like the look of the fat bars or I have this for standards
Think Im giving up on linking pics
When are you changing the rims?
I have swapped out the complete front end last Sunday arvo going to finish it off and do the complete rear this weekend. At some stage I will have to talk to Ben and get some triples made I think the steering head angle or atleast the offset is different.
The old steering stem drama. Need to either get a new stem or machine this one down a bit so I can get the top brace down low enough to fit correctly then need to get a nut machined up so the stock top stem seal will work. Thinking out loud,
The bearings that are fitted now are not the stock units and sit a little higher than the normal so the seals don't sit in place 100%, if I get a new stem made to the same spec as the stock unit but fitting the GSXR lower triple I can use the stock bearings and seals with out an issue. Or I could get a complete set of triples made only problem with that is cash flow so maybe later Attachment 5564Attachment 5565Attachment 5566Attachment 5567
Also thinking I may need to redo the oil feed line as the tyre sits a little closer to the turbo now (just a little)
Bittersweet morning,The Outkast's new swinger and rear wheel is ready to go in
Attachment 5572
but it was the final part of "The Wretched" a bike I watched being built. Think Im getting odd as I get older slightly sad feeling pulling The Wretched apart. Attachment 5573
But that didn't last long as soon as I looked at the new front in the 7 and the new rear on the ground all was good.
Attachment 5600Attachment 5601 Swinger and wheel fitted not exactly happy with a couple of items so will play around with it a little more but definitely looking good (not that you can tell from the pic's)
Attachment 5602Attachment 5603The difference in length between the 7 and the 9 swinger. going to see if I can use the stock 7 brake hanger and calliper also need to look at the axle spacers and blocks to see if I can get a better fit.
Picked up a set of bars from MCAS :) and fitted. The new view from the seat

Once I get the back sort properly and the shed has had a little clean. I will get it off the stand and see how I like it may end up with a low rise set yet then I can work out cables and lines
much better with the bars yella
Attachment 5668Pic of the latest addition to the shed, loving not working on the ground
those rims and radial front end look horn mate
Thanks, Im happy :)
i cant believe how much more up to date it makes it
Nice bars. Good choice
