Unbelievable thing and yet the Aus media can't give a fuck, the man just won the hardest race in the worl
Against the best and only his second attempt, who gives a fuck about some footballer
Yeah mate, been following him through out the race. Awesome does not do his riding justice. I raced Hattah a couple of years ago and after seeing him go past 4 times (40km loop) you get a real good idea of just how good he is, damn humbling actually haha.
Disappointing thing is, until he won the race he had very little media coverage in Aus, just this Essendon crap instead. Im away offshore for work atm so I havent seen much tv but all I hear about is football and Im pretty sure the season finished a while ago.
A great effort for sure, and a top bloke, always happy to say hi. Remember seeing him at finke a few years ago after he broke his back. Had full neck brace and other gizmos strapped to him and still walking around signing stuff and stopping when ever someone said hi. A class act.
There was a good bit on the ABC news just.
Showed his family too, nice folk,
they all seemed real down to earth folk and so proud of him.
Good on him.
This was in the Herald Sun newspaper today.. Good on ya Toby
Edit:
Nothing see here, move along.
Went for a ride on the weekend with 25 others. Mark and Mario included. Gravesend was the destination

An enjoyable morning. Went South for a change. Only a brief 285K's (177 miles)
but I missed this mornings rain, had a nice breakfast, enjoyed some fun roads,
and was home by 11.30am, just starting to get a bit warm.

Autumn starts on Tuesday. Was a little cooler today.
Went out at 6.30am for a quick 232K (145 mile) lap.
Home for breakfast before 10am. Looking forward to some cooler days.

Where's the bottom photo taken Tony?
Clear Mountain Rd, when I was almost home yesterday.
Connects Samford Valley up to some Northern suburbs.
Same place I take a few pics.
It looks down on North Pine Dam.

It's the start or finish to a lot of my Northside rides going over Mt Glorious or Mt Mee.
Sweet. Cheers.
Bit of work, bit of play, avoided parking near the giant poopy bird...

Been out a fair bit lately. Did a test ride on an MV Agusta Dragster a few weeks ago. Amazing fun to ride!
