Got it running today and got the rear brake sorted. The tacho reckons it's idling at 13000....no wonder the dog hid under the workbench while it was running

Had a bit of fun pulling the airbox on and off to find why it wasn't starting. Got to get it off again to hide the wiring, but that can wait for now.
Tomorrow is the big day for cutting the CBR subframe and getting them joined. If I can get that done this week, I'm going to talk to the engineer and see if I can get it engineered as it is before I go for rego

I've got the same tacho and it did the same thing. You can calibrate it in one of the settings. I had mine set to 2 cylinders mode and so it was doubling the revs, fucks knows what you have yours set to?

I tried that but I don't look any better and I'm heaps dumber
So I cut up the CBR subframe and grindeded away the inner webs so it fits over the ZXR subby. Just need to grind a bit of the ZXR subby away to acheive a perfection joint.

It's been so bloody long I can't remember why you're using the ZXR subby. Is it because it just happened to be lying around and will do the job at holding a CBR tail in place or are you fitting some ZXR plastics now?
That's the original subby. I'm just tooo lazy to put the "10" between the "ZX" and the "R"
I'll go back to putting all the Letters and Numbers in to save time later

First ride (around the factory) and nothing fell off (good tape I guess),
Now to strip it all down and weld (ally and plastic) before reassembly.

So it turns out that there would be no repairable write offs in NSW after June 2013, but I was talking to the guy who inspected my 1400, and he mentioned that date was brought forward to the end of January 2013. I emailed the wovr people and asked if I can still register a modified repairable write off and they don't know but said go ahead and apply.

So I dragged out the -10 and spent some time finding the parts (at least 4 hours to find the nut for the top triple clamp).
It just needs a little bit of wiring/painting/exhausting etc.

I spoke to the engineer today and he said he'll inspect it a couple of days after new years. Hopefully only a few days for the report and we'll go from there.

I modded a set of 1400 headlight mounts to get the dominators.in closer

Then I got a couple in and bought a twin undertail Laser exhaust from WA that was designed for a BMW...and I reckon it might fit if I hammer bits enough.

I reckon I spent about 4 hours trying to get the headlights to work yesterday.
I printed out the wiring diagram, tested the relays blah blah.
