when i had it it fitted closer than that, but i think it was through holes that didn't look like they were the factory ones. i'll see if i can find a pic of how it fitted on mine.
I know the holes you mean someone has drilled them in it gunna order a new light and see how that works for me. 07 tail I think

A bit of interweb stalking and found that its a common problem for dickheads like myself gen one light in gen 2 tail so i ordered a gen 2 light set
You're not the dickhead. The person who owned it and ran it head on into something is the dickhead, we both just inherited the problem.

yeah i think that's it stu. the early 2nd gen RSVR had a slightly different (though they look very similar) tail and light.
the new tail looks shit loads better. can't wait to see it all painted in yella

so its all welded, the seat is pretty much cut to shape, new taillight turned up and fits SWEEEEET.

man that looks fucking sweet! Perfect angle and everything IMO. specially if you get a single seat cowl, cause they are just a touch higher.

yep new light fits perfect clear LED item from egay happy as. Just looking for a single seat cowl now
Is your the single piece tail? or is it 3 piece?
I've got a complete cowl, but it's to suit the one piece (GEN 1 I think).
3. two sides and a middle bit. do you have a pic of it at all looking at one on egay not sure if its OK but it cheap so gunna get it and see

You can see it's a different shape and has a bit of a false lens part on it.
