BB/MB record set

A few of ya's may recall the blue/white turboed GSXR750 of Mick Donohue at last years AFR. Yeah, I know, long time ago and a big weekend. Anyhow, said owner set both ends of the ANDRA BB/MB record at WSID last weekend with a 5/100ths under and 12 mph over 8.72 @ 159 mph.
As it turns out, he also did it on a hurt bike that on teardown had 30% leakdown and no earth strap left on the plug on #1 cylinder. Mick is at the moment tearing it to bits to sort that all out, and already has plans afoot to belt the record around a bit more before going CC Comp next season. At about half a second under the index already, and more to come with the short times being sorted, he should be able to give the competition a good shake.
