hi all! bought from the evil gay a pair of Keihin 36mm CV carbies the seller got no idea wat they came from neither did i [xx(] but they looked fresh quite primitive and i got em real cheap: us$9.95 + $43 shipping which makes just 1500 our monkey roubles for those rarities [8D] but ftfh i'd luv to classify them
so they r connected to each other only by a choke bar/bracket, also u can guess that center to center distance is quite big, id say 180(!)mm or so (didnt measured though):

the imprint says: JF then a jap character "baka-baka" (i.e. fuck off!) then 44H:

the float bowl is pretty small to my mind also it looks virgine [:I]: no signs of the penetration with a screw[ing] driver or else, the rubber gasket looks young and innocent either [8D]

the main fuel jet reads 130 and the idle jet screw/plug reads 38

i havent poked my nose into the vacuum chambers yet...

my guess they came from some air cooled engine, perhaps from a dirt bike or even a snowmobile (but wth u could know 'bout the snowmobiles :D)

another question is how one can guess their placement, i mean horizontal or diagonal and what angle? perhaps the flat of the sump must be located horizontally?? thats just my guess i know a fuck about cv carbs blimey!

btw heres the bowl, relatively clean:

78 CZ 250 twin,or of that era maybe. bring back the spring clip float bowl i rekon, saves hours on the dyno for all you carb users.

my find on the web:
1978, CZ 250 (typ 997)

The 78 production CZ featured refinements including longer travel air shocks, the conventional 35 mm CZ fork travel was extended, and an upswept pipe was finally fitted. In the UK the older typ 980/981 CZ was modified by the importer and sold as a 78 model. These bikes featured gas Girling shocks, Marzocchi forks, high pipe, reed valve induction, aluminum fuel tanks, and Preston Petty fenders. These bikes were probably better than the newer production CZ.

sounds like a phat [:p] bwike but though the foto is small u can see that she had just 1 carbie and exactly of jikov type [^]

wat makes me real wonder is the bloody big center to center distance between the carbs = cyls [?]

ok like i said in my anticlockwise thread, another day another coupla carbies [:p] now bings and i have no doubt on their account cept the price: they of cost me 10-12 times more : 91 euro + 30 euro shipping so i'd rather resell them with a humble interest for my humble self [:I][:o)]... just not to be hasty barrrarrrummm!!! u can also compare a keihin to a bing... i luv bing more! [:X] lol

btw a funny/strange or else/ thing is that both keihins and bings have the same inlet/outlet od and id, just different id of diffusers: 36mm v 32mm! another coincidence? [}:)] shaitan akhbar!!! ;)
