Ok, so it's been a fair while since I've said or done anything to this bike. A few people has asked me for a bit of an update. Seeing as I'm too lazy to walk out to the shed and take some new pics, you'll just have to use your imagination for now.

What the photo above doesn't show is the new high mount exhaust, or the front indicators intergrated into the fork legs. The fuel capacity is only 8 lts at the moment as the tank you see is not actually a tank. It's just a skin. There's a little coffin shaped fuel cell that we made up and attached to the frame. I have a mint 07 tank coming at the moment so I will be able to choose between the two. Realisticly a one ltr tank would do the trick as the bike hasn't moved for months.

The motor was rebuilt last year with a bigger bore, HPC coated pistons, a bit of a headjob and a decompression plate.

I'm planning on dragging it out this week, so I'll get some pics then.

It doesn't even need a fuel tank to get pushed around the island:D

I'd be happy to see it go more than 100 meters lol

Since the engine rebuild it has done more K's on the dyno than on the road.

You going to take the old girl out for a spin soon then ? That 900 is very tempting atm but the shed allready has shit falling out of it every time I open it, and I have just bought another fucking bike lol. How's the kat going ?

No Lance, last year it had a fake tank over an 8lt cell. This is an genuine suzuki fuel tank.

Lookin good clint you should have put your helmet next to it ;)

Iceman
24-03-2011, 05:01 PM
Didn't even think of that Rod. Every time I remember to take pics of the helmet, it's all overcast and shitty and the pics don't do it justice. I'll take some under artificial light and put them up.

Good man and overcast is the best for pics cos it's a natural white light

Some of you may have seen that I was selling off a few bits from this old thing. I have decided to get it re-registered and I figured there was no way I was getting a RWC with it being the way it was. As I started to strip parts off I started thinking I might take it in a whole new direction. Funnily enough it means undoing nearly everything I have done over the past seven years, and hopefully it adds a little more reliability back into my little GS.
