I was just taking the piss by adding my bike here. Love the bandit pics you have put together, did you realise that you have my bike on there twice. Apart from the page 10 pic it's also on page 9 from my bike pics page - that was my first attempt at turning it into a fighter. Blacked out the exhaust and cut down the pipe, painted the legs black, fitted bars and mirrors, pod filters, rear sets, headlights and rode the crap out of it !!!

There a great old thing.

Also I will add more pics, probably tomm, the best current pick was the one I loaded and I cant do any more right now as it's all apart again. Its nothing more than a motor and the main frame since yesterday and will probably stay this way for a few months

Ahhh nice, I just had a look then.. I couldn't pick it from what it looks like now.. if your bored one day heres my B12 story and corresponding jibberish.. still a work in progress, i'll finish it one day. Are you going to start a build thread to feed us all the little details as she comes together?

hey gitzy I might start something this week, checked out your ride. Sounds like you need motivation and I have some experience with the build your doing --- CUT THE SUBFRAME OFF !!!!! Trust me, this will get you back in the swing of things, once its gone you can start to see the light, she'll never transform until its gone, its the key to any fighter build.

I disagree.
Cutting the subby off and grafting something else on is the easy way out. Real talent is making do with what you have...

Under the seat. 'Gel cell' battery laid on its side, no problem.

hey cruisecontrol, why make do with something that looks crap ? Improve it through your own skill and it still looks shit ? Why not use your skill in modifying another tail unit and have the thing looking horn !

By the way i'm not refering to your ride because I haven't seen your bike, just thought I should clarify, as it may read like I'm having a shot at your own work

Anybody can just bolt something else on and think they are so clever and original but it has undoubtedly been done many times before.

mozza
11-04-2010, 08:25 PM
when have you had anything just bolt on ?? I think thats a bit disrespectful to all those guys out there that have done a shit load of work to make something "just bolt on". Also not everyone has the tools required to have something fully customised.
I have more respect for anyone that builds there own bike no matter how simple compared to people who pay for others to build there bike for them.

hey cruisecontrol, shows us an example of your work so I can understand where your coming from. You can see what I've done, yes it maybe fairly simple, but thers's coutless hours in some of the little things that my picture doesn't show - custom wiring, custom cables, relays, switch gear mods, cutting, welding.

Nah, I'm only stirring mate, your bike looks bloody awesome.
My bike is here: http://www.streetfighters.com.au/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=18621&whichpage=1

I kept the existing subby and just worked around it. ;)
