thanks to the following thread yet another gsx..... joins my collection

http://www.streetfighters.com.au/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=19010

yep theres my next project i thought when i saw this thread, a little chat to Large confirmed what i thought and Bwians bike made me do it.

I big thanks to Jockney for collecting and storing the bike initially then To Jarrod and Russ for getting the fucker back to QLD..http://www.streetfighters.com.au/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=19255.. after that heres hoping it's no Christine.

So got it yesterday and spent this morning going over it. Was told it had been stored for a couple of years, i reckon a couple more than 5 would be about right. Anyway i stripped the excess weight off the front this morning emptied the tank checked if she turned over, fine. Not pulling plugs etc till i get rid of the inch of rats turds all over the engine but it will be stripped this week for frame to be powdercoated. My local spraypainter wandered in for some parts this morning, turns out he paints bikes for one of the local HD clubs and is happy to help me out ... as long as he puts the right stickers on the fucker its all his.

Anyway enough dribble for now heres the old lump

Lucky bastage. Please don't trash that fairing and bits you pull off. They're getting hard to get now and the VJMC guys will be very keen for them.

Shopping list should go something like Gixxer front, busa rear, headlights, instruments for a start.

I recommend not painting/coating anything until you're sure mods wont need to be made to fit bigger arms etc.

Also spend an hour or two on OSS and see if they are bracing their frames etc.

Try and go for a '04 on GSXR 1000 front- it has the radial brakes Not sure what year the busas went radial, they'll work too.

Motor well ive got a couple here so ill pull this one down, the speedo only showed 80k so hopefully its ok inside. Its going to have to be a little angrier than standard so BB Kit cams and head work etc etc ...

Yep its dirty it had a family of rats living in the airbox when i got it..... and a dog turd on top of the gearbox that must have been their lunch
