Hey guy's just thought I'd put this up if your looking for a cheaper option to compress your bike I picked this up on Egay for under $200 delivered , has been just rebuilt with metal clutch washers etc (factory ones are ceramic and self destruct causing big greef to jet ski )

A few specs :-

outlet internal dia 56mm
outlet external dia 65mm
inlet internal dia 64mm
inlet external dia 72mm
housing dia aprox 190mm at largerst point not including outlet pipe
outlet exits charger body at an angle of aprox 30 deg and is 120mm long
depth of body not including stub with drive shaft 110mm (mounting lugs to inlet )
length of drive shaft and rear of housing 100mm
operating design of 42,000RPM factory into 1800cc motor @ 8 PSI
Cost of a new unit aprox $650 Aus dollars
weight aprox 2.4 Kg
aftermarket options for upgrade plenty, in 3 stages stage 3 45,000rpm @18psi into same 1800cc motor but is balanced at 200,000 so you could take it further if you feel the need lol Cost of upgrades about $600 for stage 3 .

So for around $1200 Aus you can have a charger that needs a drive of someware around 4.5 to one to produce 18psi into a 1800cc motor at 10,000 motor rpm! Even comes in black lol

You paid under 200$

you can get a new one for about 650$

If so you make a quick grand there abouts less metal clutch washers is that what your telling us???????

Or have i got it all wrong????

I don't think he's selling this one Damo....
You can get one like this with the upgrade for around $1200.

P.S. I think the clue is it's not in the For Sale section ;)

must have a pretty healthy drive ratio to run at 42000rpm , how are you going to gear it and drive it on a bike ?
Custom clutch cover ??

Most marine engines run to 6500 rpm max, so I would have thought it would be spinning a fair bit faster than 42000 when coupled to a bike engine. I suppose it depends on where they drive it from tho.

Wouldn't an M45 eaton be a better option? Factory fitted to mercs.

A good thought though.

LOL you want one find it yourself! HaHa Details are $650 new extra $600 to upgrade to silly 18PSI boost specs into a 1800cc motor at 10,000 RPM. I got a bargin on egay at $178 delivered !!!

If you want one the same at $1200 from the factory is still a very very cheap supercharger! Aftermaket bloke latheboy put me onto has a simmilar jobbie selling for $4500 and selling like hotcakes (slightly bigger for V8 mods).

Factory motor it comes off redline is 10,000 rpm 4.2 to 1 step up via gear drive off crank (think starter gear without clutch in reverse) Top power made just under 10,000 motor crank RPM gives a turbine rpm around 42,000 rpm . Plus don't forget this sucker is designed to run into 1.8 L motor !!!!!!!!! A 1000 cc motor at 10,000 is going to use a lot less air = more boost pressure!

Booster :- Thinking a toothed belt running from a sprocket fitted around flywheel on left side of bike, with custom cover to stop fingers getting in and oil going out. I want more boost down low so maybe 4 to 1 ratio with a magnetic slipper clutch to drop boost at higher rpm. I would like to be able to hold 4psi from idle to redline first then step up boost as tuning goes forward. Clutch controled with dedicated micro processor. (I'm an ex computer/electroincs tech) Thought i'd start with MS injection natural asperation then low boost 4psi and keep going till things look dicy or my balls shrink.

I looked at the shaft and thought it had some funky arse planetry gear box in there .... So its just a staft and spline?

Boosters back:) you've been quite for a while...
Hows you dyno? You wanna bring it down one day and back to back it with mine? (oh yeah your daughters are hot;))

Red.. You gonna run a support bearing on the crank pulley, yes good boy!!!

Haha what else it's a Rotax made in Austria ! Fitted as factory to Seadoo's all over the world!

Latheboy :- was hoping to get the drive setup bullet proof as I hate to do things twice when I'm all excited about going fast. So yeah was thinking some extra support might be nice, but not sure how to attack it yet! The flywheel/alt cover is currently plastic shit so was thinking billet ally might be nice as betty will never be pritty but every girl love's a little bling.

Placement wise thinking supercharger mounted righthand side with drive shaft running to left of bike between engine block and headers with extention on driveshaft containing my magical magnetic clutch extending to the left side of bike protruding just enough to line up with flywheel on left side of bike. Then all i have to do is make a billet ally cover to contain drive belt and cover flywheel etc Drive cog will be an ally item clamped to flywheel setting dia of that end at a reasonably fixed size. Photo's and sketches will come asap.
