That model was the first bike I did 250kph on.
Workmate's bike, shorts, tank top, work boots, Kambalda road (outside of Kalgoorlie)...good times.
Nice find Tone, if you are gonna fighter it, i know someone who needs a fairing, headlights etc
But then again, why would you?

Saw that bike for sale on ebay, considered bidding for it myself, bloody nice lookin' bike, by the look of the angle of the rear rear caliper and the length of the slot in the swingarm for the axle some one modded it to shorten the wheelbase base, must be a real wheelie monster. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=011&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=320072077978&rd=1&rd=1

Collected the slabby Friday night.

Rexie - didn't get the standard wheels

Russ - yeah swingarm has been modded to give 750 wheelbase. The owner was tellin me what a 5th gear wheelie monster it was. I'm yet to visit there...

Anyway, no plans of fightering or breakin up this one. I bought an engine/carbies and happened to get all the other bits as well. I paid the owner what he was asking for the bike but I think we both now know it was a little low. It was a bonus it was registered, so I'll stuff around on until until later in the year and then swap engines with my 7/11 and on sell the Slabby.

Got to admit I was blown away with peoples reaction to the slabby when I headed to the bike shops to organise RWC n shit...

As an aside, a question for any of the big bored gixer riders. This engine seems to put out a shitload more heat than the stock 1100 in my 7/11, i expected some more heat but not this much. Is this normal?

Yeah mate its normal to have extra heat. My 1340 and my current bike do the same. On both my bikes i removed the belly pan trying to get air to circulate a bit more. Im not sure if it acheived anything but looked good. Ive sat in traffic in 35deg+ heat up here in QLD on my 1340 and never had a problem.
