First things first, this bikes seen gravel about 2 months ago - Been stripped down and run naked - Been my only transport and ridden daily since then and she still runs bewt - has a fair wad of cash bolted to her so this will be a nice cheap pickup for anyone.

2003 Kawasaki ZX12R Ninja
January 2011 NSW Registration
47xxxkms
Full Yoshi exhaust (Endcan, mid pipe and headers)
Power commander + Map
K&N Air Filters
Dyno'd at 176 REAR wheel horsepower WITHOUT ram air which should throw the numbers into around the mid 180s
Aftermarket Heated Handgrips
Helibars handlebar risers
Custom stainless radiator overflow bottle and radiator cap + black anodized radiator mesh
Aftermarket stator cover, anodized black with zx12r logo
Good quality barend mirrors with convex mirrors
Dominator twin black headlights
54ml Tube fork chrome headlight brakets
Arrow indicators front and rear with rearend cutouts
Colour-coded rear seatcowl (few scuff marks)
Also included is a full ventura bike rack an bag, bag is a bit scruffed up but is usable

I wont bullshit - she still needs a bit of $$ to get her perfect - the bottom triple clamps slightly outa wack so the handelbars are hence very slightly bent - and has a slow leak out of the lhs front fork.

Shes had all her major services and ure usual motul fully synthetiic every 3000

Selling due to losing my license and going on a temporary 'good behaviour' license - which wont last on this tractor!!

Also have all the original headlights / ram airducts ectect in good nic if you want to put a new fairing kit on it - (Theres a bloke doin em in AUS for $600 a kit) alot on fleabay 2 -

Come check this one out -

Hey Mate

I sent you an email about this on Ebay.
You wouldn't be interested in a swap for a 2002 Triumph TT600 Fighter plus some cash?

Cheers
Dave

I've done a few 600 odd km days on my Speed Triple no worries. Other than that the Firestorm I used to have was pretty good.

Depends on your budget and riding style. Most of the bigger bores should be ok (Busa, ZX14, Bandit etc)

Im on my bike everyday, i do everything from touring to fanging through twisties including my commutes to and from work (about 80kms a day), i love big bikes, i hate fuel consumption. Im not a raging hoon but i like the feeling of dominance on the road, one of the main reasons i brought the 12.

Funny enough the speed triples one of my all time favourite bikes .. they just look way to small! The firestorms on the other hand look perfect, but i hear there fuel guzzlers, and are a big jump down in turns of power .. what was your experience?

I use my bikes for a bit of everything too. Firestorms can be thirsty like all big twins. Earlier models had a 17L tank, 19L from 2001 on (not 100% on the year). Can't remember exactly what the range was to be honest, but it wasn't great.

From memory they're about 100 hp so not a ball of fire but still enough go, would be a big drop from a ZX12 though. Suspension and brakes were nothing special either. Actually swapped bikes with a mate who has a VTR a few weeks ago and couldn't help but think how much better the triple (mine is 08) is in every aspect - except the noise. VTR's are cheap though.....

At 197cm I may have some input here. My GSX1400 is a perfect size for me. Bandit 12 is comfy, but not roomy. Early R1 are suprisingly good size (mine was a 98 model).
Speed triple felt small, (I had a 955 speed triple for a while).
ZX14 is a nice sized comfy bike.
KTM dukes have enough room to move about on too.

The VTR range is around 200 - 240 on the 17l tank depending on jetting and how hard you twist the throttle.
They don't have massive horsies, but plenty of torque and are more than able to get you into trouble (or out of it).

Depends on what you want from a bike. I miss mine still even if it was a dirty honda...
