G'day,
Dave's the name, old Jap bikes are the <s>passion</s> obsession.

I live in Bulahdelah NSW (just north of Newcastle) and am a big time Suzuki fan. Got lots of GS' projects and an original slabby GSX/R 750 (1985). As well as numerous other weird and wonderful things in the back of the shed.

I'm keen to get in touch with Allan Davidson (atwd1970) from Thornton but can't post in his thread. If he reads this could he ring me on 4997 8288? I want to talk to him about the GS1000 parts.

Cheers,

crazy dave

Thanks for the welcome Gitzy,

I'm more of an old school cafe racer kinda guy but really appreciate modern fighters. Considering that 'cafe' bikes evolved into fighters I s'pose that's not so weird.

Thanks for the GS link. I know a fair few of those GS's - a lot of them are owned by guys on the GS Resources and / or Old Skool Suzuki forum.

I'll dig up some pics of projects and post 'em up asap.

Cheers

A couple of pics of the latest toy. I got this for an absolute song. Bog stock standard. I don't plan to change anything on this one though as the slabbies are appreciating in value now.

'85 GS1100GK - also in original condition. A mate of mine calls it my 'block of flats' (fuckin' smart arse [}:)])

What can I say, I'm a collector of the weird and wonderful and love a bargain. Not many of these things left in Aus these days. :)

Good ol Buladelah. My oldies live in Karuah and I played for the woodchoppers many years ago. Nice little town.

"Block of flats" - Now that made me laugh.

Got any modified bikes lying around as well or are you an originals collector? Good stuff either way.

I've got an old GS750 that I'm about to start on. That's why I'm here. :)

I think there may be a good reason there aren't many of those in Australia mate :) Welcome to the madhouse nonetheless.
