finaly doing something note worthy to the 650, so I'll start with a recap on the bike.

list of current mods

tps retuned, tre eleminated, fender eliminator, led intercators flush on rear radiator mounted on front, rs3 yoshi cutdown, odd brackets, removed lame shit like the reflectors and bolts under the foot pegs ect, bar end mirror, 47 tooth rear, radiator gaurd, 05 gsxr1000 rear shock, have bracket for a brake upgrade but think i'll go a fork swap instead, sprocket simple shit realy some old pics of it before a came unstuck two weeks ago.

http://i862.photobucket.com/albums/ab182/V8er/asis.jpg

had been playing around with some tail raising brackets and a 05 gsxr seat turns out that 30mm between the centres on the holes in the lower sub frame mount raises the tail 180mm.

I'm not a massive fan of the paint mate, looks very standard in my eyes.. why you not get your mate to do something 'out there' or bright?, ahh thats fighterin were all different, just my 2 cents.. come up a treat anyways, I do like them bars and the shorty yoshi..

In my mind there was only two possible colors matt graghite and gloss blazing orange... Big fan of the orange but don't think it would have suited the frame and when people ask what color i was thinking of going they would have issues comprehending when they hear matt gun metal.

Been lazy of late, original test fit confermed that i need to go an after market gaudge. With a vapor stealth on the way decided it was time to knock up some bracets.

some rough bracket built to suit I plan on dog boning them possably with a perferated plate between the headlight bolts

Same, and there looks like there was plenty of room in front of the ignition to mount the gauge when we were mocking it up. That way it would be in the centre... huh v8er... huh. listening?

Course not, punk :P

Well I've got an update on my progress sadly no pics yet need to charge the camera, so far ive cleaned up the most of the visable wireing hiding it uder the tank, had a posible issue with the snorkle so it got cut down an inch or two.
The tail raise has been a bit of work considering that i wanted to keep the standard seat, it required a new set of brackets 23mm between centres of the bolts apossed to thirty, i've placed the raiser plates between the frame and sub frame to get a more flush mount also needed to shave a bit from the 17mm hex bolts head to get a close fit, had to cut down the tool box on the bottom of the battery box, the seats brackets had to be rebend higher as the seats plastics i've cut about 5-7mm fron the front and back the foam is untouched all this along with some minor cuts to the tail plastics and the nobs of the side bits... all in all its raised the tail about 5 inches.
ive gotten my own fuel light to work for when the standard gauge cluster is removed, i need to replace the led woth a flashing led because its not getting my attention.
fabircated my own aluminium chain gaurd it just long enough to cover where the chain meets the sprocket lloks the shit and is fuckin light.
oh and removed any thing that i came across that wasn't nessecry.

Anyway I hope to post pics toomorrow.

only a few pics this time
finaly raised the tail and couldn't be happier with it, just under 5 inches was the way to go.
my new 23mm brackets fitting in nicely had to get farly pursasive it the sub frame(by that i mean i had to get a knee up on the frame to leaver pull the sub frame out far enough for the second plate it wouldn't go a mm further)
http://i862.photobucket.com/albums/ab182/V8er/P1020195.jpg

one for the stance and for the overall look
http://i862.photobucket.com/albums/ab182/V8er/P1020188.jpg

a close up on the chain gaurd over all it wasnt hard or time consumeing to fabricate dont now why i didnt get around to it sooner.
http://i862.photobucket.com/albums/ab182/V8er/P1020192.jpg

and again a new quater shot

In the last week and a bit i've had a few issues with the vapor gauge the ebay seller send me as it was not the right kit for the sv (lacking the resistor in the tacho wire and no water temp sensor) needed the bike a go'er so it got installed any way. Still sorting it out with the seller but had to put 2x 300k resistors in line with the positive wire on the tacho just when for the temp mount for now but am liking the look , still have no temp sensor yet but waiting to see what happens.
http://i862.photobucket.com/albums/ab182/V8er/P1020271.jpg

the head light is all set with dog bone brackets holding it, had to clean up all the access wiring hiding in under the tank or neating it up behind the light.
http://i862.photobucket.com/albums/ab182/V8er/P1020269.jpg

As for my first ride on it with the tail raise fuck me did raising the seat by 5-10mm make the bike feel so much differant, digging the new riding possition can't wait to throwit through some twists and see if the seat height effects the turn in.
