Experiment :

1. Take one set of fairly manky carbs.

2. Buy cheapie cheap coke from Stainsbury.

3. Put carbs in bucket.

4. Cover with coke and gentley poach for 24 hours :D

There was a good method of DIY Soda blasting to clean up shit like that. Involved an air compressor with small nozzle, with a hose spliced into it that lead to a box of bi-carb. Worked pretty well,I'll see if I can dig up a link, might be worth a look if ur coke bottle methods doesn't work lol

Didnt work quite as well as I`d imagined :)

It did break down the decades worth of hardened crud into soft shite.
So after and hour of cleaning with rag and WD they came up very well.
So yeah it worked but not as good as I kinda thought it would.
These carbs are 35 years old mind you..... ;)

For that to work you have to use Coke brand cola, not it's pale immitator. That is why you failed.

quick tip: use DIET coke. no sugar so it isnt sticky as shit.
