ok im interested in buying an 84 model gsx1150 ef for about 2500, I have to get it blue slipped and regoed, The question is, is this a good buy for this type of money? and is it a good model as opposed to gsx1100e,eg,es and so on. any help would be muchly appreciated.

Hmmmm are you going to fighter it Rob? or just using to ride/commute, not sure on differences between 1100 and 1150 either..

I'd buy it for $2500 but i'm only basing that on the fact i could transfer my Bandit 12 engine etc and GSXR USD's onto it and make a cracker of a fighter.. but thats me..

I'd rather have a Kat or ET/EX for the Old Skool looks and tweek the running gear,
but...EF has more cc, bigger valves, bigger carbs from the start.
EF popular were popular/quick at the drags (pre turbo Busa)
Looked at a couple, almost bought one. Never liked the 16" fronts as stock though.
I'd have one at $2.5k if the condition was OK.

Its a ltr+ chain drive 4-cylinder Suzuki.
What's not to like.
