Fellas, I'm thinking of moving the oil cooler to behind the headers as shown in the pic. The fit is purrrrfect, but im worried that it may get a little hot when stationery. Would this cause too much of a drama? Of to see the boys at Pirtech today to get some fittings made

No matter where the oil cooler is placed, unless is comes with a fan, it is going to get hotter when stationary.

It will get hotter when stationary as it's closer to the headers and therefore getting more radiative heat trasnfer. It will also be less effective at cooling when moving because the air passing over it will have less of a temperature difference from the cooler (newton's law of thermodynamics: the rate of heat trasnfer is directly proportional to the temperature differential)

Having said that, whill it be enough to cause you a problem? Hard to say without trying it and watching a temperature gauge. I'd take the safe route and leave it where it is

actually went to Pirtec and they said they couldnt make anything to suit. So will be modifying what is there and will put it in front of the headers...

Thats BS mate, brother in law put his firestorm oil coolier there not sure who made connections either Pirtek or hydralink.. but i'll try and find out..

Yep Pirtek made em.. yours would be a lot shorter but you could take yours to them and get them to shorten them..

I'm sorry but can't let that be. What did Newton had to do with laws of thermodynamics? I have understood that they are the laws of motion, but what do I know?

He also popped out one law of thermodynamics on a quiet day, a pretty good one too. In getting the link below I've realised it is called "Newton's law of Cooling" not law of thermodynamics but it's certainly not a law of motion :)
