the hub and its nut was cemented zinc coated and painted /painted - hub only/ then bearing beds were ground coz they shrunk during heat treatin i decided to use ball bearings 'stead of oem cone roller bearings on many reasons - good quality cone bearings r harder to find they r slower and u have to lubricate em now and then covering with lubricant ur self as well cosmic ally was used for the spacers

got meself a complete new shaft drive with U joints from ural of later days called 'voyage' kinda ruskie moto guzzi nevada lol it doesn't have the drum brake shield so it looks neater and its shaft is 50mm longer so shaft angle is smaller resulting less load on u joints

however yesterday became a tripple fuck up day for me when i'd finished a mock up assembling of the featherless birdie

fuck up 1. as the starter relay happened to be to high the plenum must be set up higher but it cant be done now the bloody thing's a tad wide so i have to make it narrower

but fuck up 2 leaves me no other option than to move the whole front section forward i'll be able to drop the neck a bit and to increase the rake from 26 to say 32 degrees d'u think im desperate and cryin? fuck of im fuckin laughin tho that'll take another week to fix the fuck ups

Hey Ruski :D how about changing Triples the one's you have are pretty flat???

That will give you a bit more room to the cooler and wheel clearance ,well looks like shorter stub to me unless it has to be that length.

Other option is to mod the frame??

well i declare i like'er even more now
the wheel base stretched from 1580 to 1650 mm sharp /btw remember the 1st bike with this frame and civics engine had a 1485 mm wheel base/ and now its lower for 40 mm
i also got a better steering angle - was 26 degrees to the each side dunno how much now but definitely much more (now i know - 35 degrees - Edited by - Surt on 17 Jun 2011 02:49:38)
bad side is that ive lost about 10 days to fix the fuck ups which could of been used for remaking the powerplant... by july i have to finish the bike to tear em all apart on the drag strip arrrrghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh wats the date now? hahaha

been customisin buels side stand day long got ally splinters in my feet and eye sored fingers from files still needs some filin in corners and sandin bought the stand a year ago for apr $100 shipped/!/ i think the bloody bugger is the best stocky side stand among all bike brands cos its ally and has a fantastic shape it looks not like a bike part but rather like an emu bone just wat i luv!

now fabbin the rear fender i wanted it to be like a bird wing the shape was a pain in arse coz the wings supposed to be made of flats and abrupt bends all i could make was a round shape which was no go so i had to cut it in the middle straightened the halves and tried em on the swinger and wheel as the swinger was stretched the mockup fender/wing/ looked shorty so i decided to make an insert so now the wings made of 3 parts i made it pretty fast esp compared to the ally tank just for 4 evenings or apr 10hs copmpare it with one in the project sketch it looks just like i wished just tad longer lol

today played with a soldering iron in my shed for awhile walkin Stocky's way i gonna try lipo batteries for my bikes so bought 2 5200mah 20c 14.8v lipos + mysterious balancer + traxis connectors we'll see how it all work out

fabbin real not mock up rear mounts was a real pain in arse and mainly hands i heat treated the 20mm ally plate before work and felt sorry to many times about the fact, should of made it AFTER cos the bloody allys got as hard as steel so my jig saw was almost useless none the less i cut em out and rounded with angel\m/grinder and files havin torn skin off me fingers good part i cant leave finger prints any more

the lower bones r mounts for the side stand ic scoop lower coils brackets and sump protection they also engage the engines original mounting holes

which bones d'u mean Luke? if the rear /triangular/ ones im positive they r among the hardest parts of the chassis 20mm thick heat treated highest grade ally if the lower bones they r just mounts for auxiliary not heavily stressed parts - an intercooler, kick stand etc mentioned above but of course i wouldnt jump or sit on the bike on the kick stand just like i wouldnt allow even a lightest sheila to sit on the seat cowl

a piece of explanation: had to cut and to bend aside the cheek bones cos the bloody toggles refused to sit in, made inserts to fill in the gaps, will be welded in on monday the toggle switches r to change the spark retard characteristics, there r 3 different maps can be burnt into the ignition box chip

Well hell give me a break i was on the tail end of a three week stint in the middle of the south australian desert gettin six hours sleep a day if i was lucky. . . . I plead insanity,even the really ugly ones where startin to look good !
As for the banbusa it should of been going a month ago. . . .i got the wiring done and had a guy (auto elec) come round and wire a ignition in to the thing which gave me power to everything but no spark at the plugs, i call him and the kunt said he'd come back and sort it. . . Never to return (prick). So after tryin to nut the dirgram myself (and im up the shit with wirers) i found he had'nt connected the exciter thingy that sends the spark or die order to the plugs i had a go at it myself and now iv got power at nothing and no blowin fuse's which has got me fucked and wanting to call a f-18 strike on old mates house in the wee hours of the day ! Either way i had to abconed to BHP's death mine for three weeks and only got back to brisbane last night. So iv got a two hour ride to home this mornin and try another sparky to fix the problem. . . And it's no easy task trying to get some one who knows wat hell there doing in toowoomba, it's a major piss off ! And im concerned that iv fucked something like the cdi but im not touching the thing again due to my hopelessness with the demon wires !. . . .to finish the bike off it needs ignition, link pipe from the header's, and chain and rear sprocket, then it will be done. Work at the moment is number 1 due to taking near 7 months off. . . . (Cause i needed to) but hopefully i'll have the thing cranking over this week. . . Iv got 4 days to do it ! Back to work saterday. Sparkys are hard to find, atleast ones that know there shit !. . . Sorry bout the mis spelt shit,im still on my phone and its a pain in the ass to go back and fix it. Keep you up to date on it on my thread .. . Where ever it is,must be a lomg way back in the pages by now :-(

check up if theres + on cdi box and on the coil 1st wires and continuity on the 2nd coil wires then start up with the plugs unscrewed and grounded to the bike, where u dont have + dort ist die hunde gegrund oops i mean the dog is dug there pardon my french

the reason of the 'long neckness' is obvious i had to accomodate all the gauges so i found the way out by making the neck section btw i think that street fighters with masks r to short necked say if the upper yoke is a kind of shoulder girdle in anatomy then the head is set right on it without a neck

engine mods
initially the /unfiltered!/ oil from pump went forward into the front ball bearing then to the centrifuge on crank for cleansing and then into the crank to lubricate con rods big ends
the cam push rods and rockers were lubed by the <s>red</s>hm oil mist thats all simple as mooing

im gonna make a new oil pump twice as big lock the orifice to the centrifuge and send oil thru the cartrige filter and then thru thermostate to oil cooler and finally thru distributor block into the crank pushers oil jets and turbine

the new sump with integrated oil filter flange
