They're both pretty bloody awesome.. but doesn't look like they're approved for AUS (tried searching anyway)..

Surely there's a sticker cutter somewhere who can do a label for you?
Just don't advertise them publicly if/when you find them.

Would love one of these too but not Aus approved unfortunately

just some food for thourt you could look at importing one of these and then look at haveing them passed with the aus standard and you could end up the sole importer into australia .

i have a craft helmet and i love it but those roof ones look very cool

I have a roof Boxer V, it's not Aus approved, but I haven't been pulled up for it yet. I must say although it looks cool, it's noisy as fuck. Wind noise at 60 kph is annoying, at 100 kph is loud and anything over 200kph is deafening (so I'm told, seeing as the maximum speed limit 110kph I wouldn't know anything about any speeds over that).

I thought it cost a significant amount of money to get a helmet ADR approved?? Like 5 figure expensive.....

I got mine from the UK, a guy I know, used to race a SV650 in the mini light or mini twin ( I can't remember which) series over there. He was sponsered by Roof and as part of his deal got a couple of different helmets. He prefered the Daytona, so I bought the boxer V of him for cheap. My parents picked it up and brought it back to Aus for me.

i thought to get a lid passed they performed the spike test on it i.e they destroy the lid in the process

Yeah it costs a fortune and you have to sacrifice a bunch of helmets for testing. There was a thread on another forum a while back trying to get some Simpsons approved but noone could afford to.

From memory it was Stu who got the Craft lids approved. I think there was about half a dozen helmets destroyed in the process.

It ain't cheap at all, I doubt Simpsons will ever be street legal in Aus, the peripheral vision isn't wide enough, Rocket Industries tried to ADR them ages ago.
