I'd think it easier to fix oem carbs than muck round getting others to work, but I'm just a dumb wire-twitcher.

As far as i know the old CBR 600's might be able to fit on. Not 100% though

How many clicks has the hornet done? Chance of finding CBR 6 carbs with less k's will be pretty slim I reckon. What's stuffed on the OEM ones?

Can't see carbs being shagged after only 60,000k's. If he wants a second opinion I'll take a look at them if he wants.

Hey Rod,the first problem is that the cbr carbs are likely to be the ram air style and can be troubleeome to jet as they have a solenoid that opens a style of air bypass to lean out the low speed running.i agree with the boys that you should be able to rebuild them its what we do every day, most likely need a new set of float valves and if they are realy worn a set of emultion tubes and needles..allthe best if you need a hand ring me as there non genuine bits available

what exactly is a carb that is "gone"? I know a carb that is "gone" to me is when I have a shit after a feed of potatoes
