I'm curious to know where the whole tail, kicked into the air, idea comes from? It's not that I think it sucks, but I don't get it. Anyone know why/when/who did it.

The full kick up is German idea. They took the initial Streetfighter concept started in the UK and wanted to give it their own, more extreme feel. The fully kicked up for no apparent reason (i.e. does not follow any other lines on the bike) has never been that popular with anyone except the Germans and a few other Northern European (mainland) countries.

You'll find these types of tail units available on German websites and a few German parts importers around the world.

Ze Germans! Ze Germans! They love their team sports don't they?!

Yeah kinda looks to me like the bike got looped during a wheelie.

But I don't think I'll be able to graft the Fireblade my tail section onto my bike, with ease. The tube frame just keeps going and going and going. In fact, the whole 'fighter the CeeBee seems like a nightmare. I had the plastics off over the weekend and the frame is a nightmare of steel tubes.

It's called and angle grinder and welding. Piece of piss. Spoke to Ben (Extreme Creations) about your bike at the weekend and he said if you want if fitted while your bike is down there let him know.

I've just put a tail unit I got from Germany on the GS, I got one that's a bit more subtle than that though. I didn't want to break my lines that much.

I used to think it looked like a cat having a shit...but feline spines bend the other way.

Nowadays I reckon it's like the riders are mooning the motorists...up to a limit.

After that it's like goatse

Dodge was very fond of the kicked up the arse look. He could comfortably sit on a flat seat while pulling monster wheelies.

Sure does mate. He builds all his bikes with a kicked up tail end (usually a CB125 I think?) so that they sit at normal riding angle while he does a wheelie for eternity.

No shit.

Here's another one of Dodge's bikes:

Check the seat angle and imagine it in wheelie position.

Note the exact same model tail piece again.
