Phillip Island - MotoGP 2010

Anyone keen on riding down/over to the Island this year for the MotoGP? I've been doing it on and off since the 90's and this year we are hoping for more than the 4 that came last year.

I am keen on heading down. Might have one other with me. We will probably camp etc, as we will be on a budget! :) You guys got any plans on where you are staying etc yet..?

Basically. Every year it starts at the Oxley Hotel. We all meet there and mill around for about 30 mins waiting for people. Once all are accounted for, it's off from there. Occasionally it's straight down the coast road into Sydney to pick up a few blokes, if they are going, if not it's the New England and:

Depart Brisbane - 06:00 Wednesday
- stops every 2 hrs or when gas is required
Arrive Canberra - 19:00 Wednesday
- sleep at Canberra Campsite
Depart Canberra - 06:00 Thursday
- stops every 2 hrs or when gas is required
Arrive Philip Island 19:00 Thursday
- setup tents
- start drinking/party/MotoGPing
Depart Philip Island 06:00 Monday
- stop every 2 hours or when gas is required
Arrive Canberrra - 19:00 Monday
- sleep at Canberra Campsite
Depart Canberra - 06:00 Tuesday
- stop every 2 hours or when gas is required
Arrive Brisbane - 19:00 Tuesday

Normally there's a donation taken so that we can hire a ute as a support vehicle and a mate of mine drives down with the back full of kit and beer and space for a bike. We've never used it, but when Dennis fell asleep on the bike just south of Canberra in 2000 we almost needed it.

My current plan is to get the 12r back together and ride down with 2 other mates. If i don't get the 12r together they reckon its going to be the DRZ400 I'll be ridding...

I'm pulling my finger out on the build...
