1. after my new varta battery's sudden decease [xx(] i decided to make a new unStocky one from 36v li-ion battery pack. yeah, its three times as pricey but same 3 times as ligher and long lasting [8D]

a question to experts: considering the fact that this kind of battery needs balancing every 3 or 4 months, how long a new li-ion battery can be stored from the date of manufacturing, not to buy some dead meat [V] (with my all imagination i still kunt imagine a seller balancing the whole one's stock of batteries every 3-4 months [}:)])

2. about a year ago here was a thread dedicated to the li-ion batteries WITH A LINK TO SOME SEPPO SITE HOW TO MAKE A BIKE BATTERY FROM A BATTERY PACK. i tried to find the thread but failed, i keep in memory wat that was about, but perhaps some hints might be useful

This is an interesting one. I was pretty cynical to start with as it's really only suited to total loss systems and might struggle with an electric start setup. Having said that I've been thinking about moving to total loss this year as they've opened up the rules in that area so I might get in touch with that guy, bit of a battery propeller-head which is a good thing

Not just for total loss systems - if you read the whole thread on the link I posted, you'll see where the guy builds one for his Falcon and runs the car for a month to see how it performs (standard alternating charging and all). The results are pretty impressive [:0]
