Helmet Clean Time..

Welding helmet that is, Well its been a solid year and a bit, of 4-7hours a day welding.. and i thought i'd give the ol helmet a wash and some freshen up with some new stickers.. other than a damp rag throughout the year she cops a bit of a flogging.. just thought i'd waste 2 secs of your time and show you.. lol.

Love the Skully sticker. I also find they work better if they have a lens in them.

for some odd reason.. I'm dissapointed it wasn't rattle canned black!? what kind of example are you setting!?
Hmm I guess if thats the case, then you really would have got rid of all the plastic and just worn the head strap part (or made a billet one)and left the neck part on cause it sorta looks like a bellypan, and cut the visor down to the bare minimum, just enough to hide the important parts.

i give it a week before they burn off...or maybe even a day if your do`n shitloads on high volts, i can crack my lens in 20 mins through over heating and melt part of my helmet sometimes

Nahhh, my old ones lasted almost a year, and even then they only faded a little, SFmag ones were pretty weak though.. but i've never cracked me lens or melted me helmet.. The Signature pic is me running most of my days at between 26 - 32 volts, gets pretty hotski but helmet and sticks seem to hold up fine..

Lol trust me mate i thought the same thing, took me years to put one on, and i thought yep melted in one day for sure.. but held up to punishment.. granted all the stickers i used were mx TLD stickers so im guessing they were UV protected or something.. the SFmag stix only lasted a month or so and they went clear, so colour was blasted.. As for the skully decal i put right on my muzzle i'm not sure how long it will last. i'll take some more piccies in a month or so see how they look.. :D
