I have one, have only used it a few times.
Here's the result.
My young bloke has also taped it to his paintball mask a few times and done some good work.

Pretty fucking good if you ask me.

That's top quality love the audio ??? What model was that camera Phill, did you use the suction cup

Rocket
10-02-2010, 02:22 PM
ummm, the camera looks the same as the one you posted up and yeah, i used the suction cup.
I have to see if I can get it to mount more to the middle but the design of the tank doesnt help a great deal.
The camera has a couple of sound settings and i had it set on low sensitivity for the drag vids i took.

I have to say i was impressed with what come out of it as they camera itself looks like a kids toy.

It'll be better when i learn to edit the dull stuff out.

The go pro HD hero is the way to go or contour HD, the picture qualiy is unreal, mates got a go pro that he brings on the trails. The video is clear and very stable, even through the rough stuff!

Oh and he mounts it to his helmet.

Go Pro are awesome cams for the bike, borrowed one for a bit once. They look like a toy, but definitely work well.

Phill 2 questions

1/ how in the puck do you get the shot /angle you want. Does it have a view finder or is it trial and error

2/ what sort of battries does yours take

thanks

It's got a little viewfinder window but there's still a bit of guess work.
It takes AAA batteries, i just use Duracells.

Hahaha, we're all ranga's on the inside Terry.... or something.

Learnt a lesson last night Mono.
I accidentally had the sound sensitivity set to Hi instead of Lo and the sound quality came out shithouse !
Fast forward to the 1 minute mark.
Note Morry dissapearing off into the distance on the Tribute bike.

Well i see Phill we've both been to camera school today aaarrrgggggg learnt a lot of don't s and a couple of do's as well.

Do's

Buy the extra roll bar mount kit it's worth every cent.
Hd is awesome
Always check what mode you're on before heading out on a group ride for 3hrs before pressing the go button. Watched several suicide attempts 3 armco near misses, heaps of one wheel action not me(he he) then pass n carve up stacks of random people at warp factor 9, finaly catching up to the front runners (two other B-Kings hovering around the $2 mark) thinking I've got better footage than ONE HD ,only to get home finding out i have 4 still shots of car parks fuckkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
Buy big SDHC card 16 gb at least
Don't s

Shouldn't stuff around the night before with the camera after charging, on is on even if not recording flattens the battery rrrrr

And the didn't think of's

My computer won't run HD needs 3.2ghz computer with 1gb ram "MIN"
Need 1 tera b hard drive already filled my computer in one afternoon
Need class 6 SDHC card for HD (twice the price)
No way am i putting up footage on youtube, mates number plates doing some seriously fucked up shit possibly 2ks over posted limit however i have no proof, and that was a random guess
Need editing software (maybe still looking)
Consumes your life must record everything even driving to work
Need 4 more cameras now addicted, must have MULTI ANGLE
Now getting stunt bars ,oggy knobs ,anything else i can mount this thing to. Must have all angles
No spare batteries available from Go Pro dedicated battery only 2.5hrs only
Camera rattle (Think I've solved this) will confirm at later stage
Do not search go pro hero camera rattle 5hrs reading no known remedy ,(still think I've solved this)
Late nights searching ebay for cheap cameras

This f#&*!%@ post took nearly 2 hrs
