When I stared this project 12 or so years ago Fireblades were all the rage, then I moved to Australia and now I'm selling it? I have too much stuff and my new 1098 Ducati is on the way!!!! If you’re interested sing out. I'm also selling my Z1300.

Maxton re-valved front and rear suspension. The motor was completely rebuilt costing over 2000 quid. New shells, bearings, flowed head and valve job. Stage 3 Dyna-Jet kit and K&N filters. The wheels are Astralights 17in with 6in rear and a 3.5in front. The tank is a lower CBX with a grafted Fireblade top

I'm selling it! What is it worth? Should I just sell it in bits ie engine frame and loom? Or will it be better to go as one lot?
I still have a few OEM parts; I can register it in Australia because it was a personal import. It has a clean title with matching numbers. The bike was originally a twin shock model.

What is it worth?

The bike was once stock, I rebuilt the motor and almost killed myself with the poor suspension and crap brakes. The motor is as sweet as a nut!!!
That was it!!! It was having a make over of the fighter kind. Part way through the project a moved to Aus……

Now I’m just too busy with my work and other projects to see it through….
I’ll split the bike if I get enough demand, it would be a dam shame though!!!!
The lot including all that’s in the pictures for AU$4500.00

Racecomp,

I'm very interested in the Bex. Couple of things:

I live in WA. Could you get it registered in SA? I should be able to re-register it over here more easily. And would the bike need a compliance plate, and if so, can you get one for the bike? Basically what I'm trying to say is, I want to buy it registered.

We've had several CBX's so appreciate the work you've done so far.

Could you email me your mobile/landline phone number so we can chat about it - missbehave955@gmail.com

Cheers ...

That is going to be one sweet looking CBX when done. Excellent choice on body panels for that fat engine. They sound awesome on full go as well. If I didn't already have two on the go I'd be sorely tempted.

excellent work on the X racecomp.

I've been modding my X over the last couple of years, but it's a bit more oem than yours. I hear ya about the orig susp/brakes - woefull!

Are you interested in selling any of the pictured items separate to the bike? As my bike is probably still 1/2 orig I could do with quite a few of those parts.

Great Bike...I own a custom build Kawasaki KZ1300 street fighter and would never sell! They just don't build'em like this anymore. Still scares the bejeezus out of lesser machines and is 30 years old! Great job mate, I know what it takes to do this!:)

The outcome of 18 months hard work! Always wanted a 1300, so bought her from a previous owner whom thrashed her to bits. The intention was to restore to original, but could not find the spares I needed. After three months in the garage, after browsing through a custom bike mag, decided it would be nice to have a one-off custom version. No idea of what this would take. 18 Months later, this is what I ended up with. Only stock components are the frame, and the motor which is, with the exceptions of slightly modified cams, original. All made to fit - Tank from ZX900, Tailpiece ZX900, Seats custom made, Fairing ZX400, Clocks ZX400, Forks ZXr 1100, exhaust shortened, Swing-arm modified to accept wider rim and tire (170), rear rim widened, frame powder coated, engine rebuild and powder coated, engine covers polished, custom made rear set support, custom shocks...there is more, but these are the major bits.
