Can anyone here give a ballpark figure on what I should expect to pay for a Bandit 1200 motor in good running cond?

I guess you mean the old oil cooled model yea? I've seen these swap hands for anywhere from $1400 to $2100! (mind you the last one I saw swap hands was 2 years ago, you may get them cheaper now). Any resident wreckers know better?

yeah, I think $1100 is the cheapest I've seen for a running one. Up to about $2000. Do plenty of shopping around, some wreckers are asking way too much...

When I did the research it was cheaper to get a whole donor bike, I got a trashed 2004 bandit for $900 at auction with a perfect motor and got a whole bunch of other goodies effectively for free

$2800 rideable and came with rego.
Was offered another one but passed in on through the "sales"
section on here. Pretty sure that went for less than $3k.

Yeah I picked up that other one for $2800, running well, just a few things to finish up for a RWC.

Try ringing the guys on the banner at the bottom of the page mate: Bike Parts Sydney. Mention you're from ASF and see what they say.
