Where is the root of the MicroSD card?

It might be a little late but nobody else seems to have answered your question.

When you insert the SD card into your computer and open it, you are in the root. All files, folders and subfolders branch out from the root.

I got mine today, just tried it out on the bike. Tried a few spots, got the vid uploading to Youtube now. Gonna give it a try on the commute tonight.

Well I'm pretty pleased with how these little things work. Pretty good quality for a night ride. There's no real windnoise despite the camera being put on the front in the open, but the audio is quite low, doesn't really pick up the exhaust until I start winding it out. I mounted mine on top of the brake fluid res, which is a good spot. Just went for the velcro, but I might put a rubber strip under it to dampen some vibes. My suspension isn't the greatest at the moment so it picks up all the little bumps. Can't argue for the price though. Probably gonna pick up another one or two to mount on the tail facing back, and see if I can work out a way of mounting it to the lid.

Here's a quick test from mine. Mounted via velcro to the brake fluid reservoir.
