Car mufflers

has anyone had any success using a car muffler, one of the stainless ones. having spent over $500 having my pipe made three years ago and its always cracking. i am looking for a cheaper option...

i had a mate who had a trx and used two small car cannons for an undertail exhaust. sounded good but no back pressure at all. if you found one with the same sized inlet i cant see it being a problem

yup, the zorst on my tractor is a 2x4" cannon wiv dumpers welded on em.

seen a few race bikes with regular car "hot dogs" on board. On the end of a 4-1 system... pretty loud... :D

IT was OK - had a removable baffle too (which made it loud, but not TOO loud), but it was pretty heavy and.....still pretty big :(

Center resinator out of a GTR skyline import from japan.

Exben modded it for me with an end tip and in let flange.

as far as i'm aware the bike still wears it.

just spent the day going around car shops, came up with a 3" double lined tail pipe.
yamaha had already made enough room in the headers for a baffle, so i have fitted one and some steel wool.
its not too loud....i suppose, it depends on how deaf you are.
oh and bye the way....fuck off copper, its a standard exhaust
