use a speedo healer maybe. the speedo sensor runs off the drive sprocket so changing gearing will do it.

i thourght those dash's only read to 299 anyway

I agree with Booster.
To me the trees passing by don't seem to increase at the same rate as the speedo. Is it just me or does anyone else get that impression?

It ain't 300. Had this arguement with one of the guys from work who has a k9 750 and reckons it does 295kph with a down sized front sprocket. It's closer to 265 with a sprocket change but the speedo reads high. Speedo healer over driving is the easiest way to get silly readings, still fast but.

on a private test track......my zx7r used to show 285kmh on the clock and two mates went pass on gixxer 1000 like i was standing still. we were all going quick but not at the actual speeds indicated on the speedo. take 10% for speedo inaccuracy and i guess you would be closer.
