When did GSXR1100 get removable subframe? Was it 1993?

Thanks.

Late 92 when the oil coolers were phased out.

Cheers guys, thanks.

Next question - how hard to drop an oil-cooled 1100 motor into 1995 750 frame? Is there a link to a build or how-to somewhere?

Check the how to section on the home page! Not sure where that'l get ya but I kno there is one about the water cooled conversion (probly not much use to ya) from when Deano built my bike!

anything watercooled has a bolt on subby.

looked at a conversion earlier and to hard. many people have done it but need to make all new engine mounts and cause the oil cooled barrels lay further forward and the head is huge you have to rotate the motor back in the frame. looks crap. people that have done it say otherwise but if it dosn't look like an OEM fit then to me it will look crap

watercooled frames are heavier anyway.

mate I put my 1100L 89 motor into my 95 1100W frame and what a mission all the engine mounts were about 1/2 inch different not sure about the 750 but I wouldn't think it would be too different even with all new engine mounts (and the drive sprocket had to be spaced out) the chain rubbed on the left of the rear tire which is why I just put the donk out of mongrel in mine imo what a pain in the ass

Did you get the carbs off mongrel too? Or did you get sum elsewhere? Mine had a stage 3 dynojet it in it.
