Yep you read right!! :D

The 2005 Gsxr1000 has gone to visit uuunkie Booster (Greg) the turbo extraordinaire to get the TREATMENT.

To fill you in, I brought the bike ( As a write off) Before I had actually got it back on the road & after a few drinks ;) a conversation with Booster & I woke up the next morning & said ummm did I really buy a turbo [:0] For the last years we had kinda mucked around with Greg saying you buy a 1000 & I'll turbo it - so the seed had been there a while......
Time was passing & Greg was very keen - I might have been having some doubts by then lol
So down we went to visit Greg & Marg (Who gave us wonderful hospitality & put up with the weirdness that went along with our birthday road trip [:p])
So the bikes been down visiting uunkie Booster, who has been sending me pic's and trying to talk me through understanding it all.
If it needs repeating Greg you are a LEGEND & a damn nice bloke!!!;)
So all the credit and my huge thanks go to Greg for all his hard work & Marg for putting up with it all:D

This is where Booster steps in to answer all technical questions ;)Whilst I listen closely:D
All comments like how well I will flip it and be squiiishhhhhed!! heard them 27 zillion times off everyone already ;)[:p]

This is what is looked like when back on the road ( still gonna be naked for the moment anyway)

The 1100 has been about learning about bikes & 'trying'to make my own mods ect, but has never had any thing done to the engine. I always said next project would be more about the engine - So why not drive right in with a turbo [:p]

Phone pics come out better than i would have thought... should have had a bit of a tidy up around the bike first ;)

short light bike as the 1k is i think we have a combo that will be fun and not too hectic ,
bike is running now and just tidying up a few things before it hits the dyno , then it all comes apart for coating
No add on ecu or piggyback , all being done by reflashing the std ecu

only thing i'm wondering havent really thought about it much or really had much to do with turbo bikes, i've riden a gsxr1000 like twice i know isnt much but fuck they feel like there gonna throw you off the back when ya smash the throttle. do ya set the turbo up and like power curve a certain way or ya just have to be gentle on the throttle when ya take off?

after seeing turbo bikes run mate they tend to just spin up for about 400 to 500 metres and then get traction .......they fucking rock

The busa swing arm was the same length as the 1 that's in it., so might end up just getting extensions. Hmm excited or scared I go from 1 to the other ;)
it's gonna b a 2 stage, wired into the flasher switch..... Long as I don't hit it n end up in the side of the supermarket :D[:p]

Awesome work once again Greg! You are the turbo king mate! Mine is still going strong, and will be putting in the 2 stage boost that Gsxar speaks of here. It is just too hard to ride with the high boost in the low gears...

Keep up the good work.

I'm seriously stunned! stunned I say :D:D In fact I have had to come home, have a drink & think it all[:p] & still cant quite believe it.
Greg rings me this afternoon to say the bikes been on the dyno today, so I'm excited already & never have really thought about HP numbers it would have until today.........
Greg says yeah all went good put it on the 1st time & got 187 ( 4 p boost) - at which I must say I was already wayyyy excited about,
Plays with some things winds it up a bit and gets 260 OMFG! you must excuse my excitement [:p] considering I only ever meant this to be an every day bike to give my fighter girl a rest.
Last heard he was heading out for a test ride:D

Ride was very interesting to say the least... but then they are when you forget to put the wastagate line back on after removing the data lines and hose from the dyno
lifted hard in third, and fourth, and combo mono burnout in top , i'm thinking this is a lot of power for 4 psi...looked at the gauge while rolling on in top and it saw 20 psi ..very quickly .. AAAhhh no wastegate, and a good thing i'm using real good fuel when i dyno.. put the hose back on and its everything it was supposed to be, good power in a very usable package with the option of turning it up anytime.

Velocity stg 1 turbo system , there turbo is a big exhaust wheel gt28 similar to the gtir nissan turbo ,reflashed ecu for mapping fuel and ign and reset rpm limits, engine is basicly std but for a .071" headgasket and APE headstuds , and cams from a earlier 1k , (bit less duration and lift is more friendly on the decompressed motor )

Finally fixed my bloody anti virus problem, auto upgrade changed all my settings and couldn't log in or reply anywhere ,
Ivan, 4 psi gave 187 hp and 12 ran to 260hp , have to wake up my laptop to get more specific than that, if i can i will try to screen save and post the figures

Going to be another soon, sold my old faithful roadbike and buying a later busa , nearly went b-king but couldn't beat the deal i'm getting .. but to tell the truth a 1k like Jo's would have been very tempting after how well mannered it is
