Actually it works out great. We won't get any unwanted blows-ins where we go as they'll all be here.

Weren't the blow-ins more than welcome the last two AFRs?

After reading through this thread and the one for AFR09 ( http://www.streetfighters.com.au/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=11479 ), the contrast is phenomenal.
Every argument for is now against and vice-versa.

Consistency people!

I thought about going to have a look....for about 2 seconds.

Chasing sportsbikes around Rathdowney, Summerland way, Lion's Rd
sounded much more fun.

We only had 2 bikes trashed today, still more fun than standing
about looking at chrome turds.

So Tony.... "only 2 bikes trashed"....... so how many normally get trashed????? and is it a case of ego having greater skills than reality??? jeeez, modern bikes with unlimited ground clearance.... WTF...

Hmmm, "chrome turds" I like that :D

A airconditioned SS Ute was my mode of transport today. [8D]

Tony, you should chase sports bike the legal way at the track today.

That would have been tempting about mid day. bike boots, Leather jeans,
leather jacket, gloves, full face Shoei etc. Sweat was pissing out
of me, was only about 33/34 degree's!

Tony, you should chase sports bike the legal way at the track today.
What do you mean LEGAL.
We only ride at the speed limit!
The guy's are just a bit clumsy.

Bikeweek cancelled / postponed.

Now what will i do for 4 days...

We greatly regret to advise that due to international logistics and event schedules we have had to make the difficult decision to delay the introduction of Bike Week at QR. A number of unexpected difficulties came to light in the eight weeks since QR & Bike Week signed up to run the event at Easter.

Some of the key resources, especially international participants, that had been promised are no longer able to make the Easter date.

When faced with the hard decision of providing a greatly diminished event at Easter or waiting for a clearer calendar, probably in the early August timeframe; it was decided to hold off until such time as we had clear commitments of support from the local traders, clubs and the international competitors.

Now that QR and Bike Week have some clear air to negotiate with the key participants and promote Bike Week to a wider audience you can expect a much bigger and brighter event than we had originally envisaged.

The QR & Bike Week Crews.
