So........who knows whether this model would make a good track bike? I have a chance at buying one with raceglass, slicks, warmers etc. for a reasonable price[meaning cheap....]
It's had a few downs, the footpegs are dodgy, but I have a brand new set sitting in the cupboard! The glass is a bit damaged too, but he reckons it's repairable.
Is there any known issues with this first[?] of the fuel injected models?
Any comments, priceless tidbits of wisdom , etc. gratefully accepted

Listen real close for engine noises and hopefully when it has been down it hasn't run for to long on its side (damages the big ends and mains), the cam chain tensioners were a bit dodgy (replace it with a race one). other than that Benzy they were a great thing. Go for it I say.

Yep biggest issue on them was the timing chain tensioner, if not done already replace it with a manual one
great little track bike

Right motor, wrong bike.......too much damage, would cost too much to get it back into one piece to make it a viable purchase for my tiny budget!!
Still lookin though....
