Good luck getting one second hand, They dont come up too often!
Up 'til '01 (I think) They were standard fitment. After that they were an optional extra.
Pretty well everyone who has a VTR these days wants a seat cowl, but not everybody who bought one after '01 ordered one when they bought the bike.
If you have to order one from Honda, order one for a pre 2000 model. They are exactly the same, but heaps cheaper!
