i'm looking at fitting later model gsx-r swing arm to my sv cause i like the look of the curve swingarm, anyone got any suggests of things to look out for when changing?

oh apart from that....compare swingarm widths @ pivot, pivot diameter, distance from pivot to axle centre, where the arm starts to spread make sure there's no interference
then there's your linkages, whether the rear brake has a torque arm or not, pretty sure the water cooled gixxers didn't....don't know about the SV's tho.

big thing you need to know is where the centre line of the rear wheel is on the swingarm pivot, alot of arms are assymetrical

check some of the various SV sites for what works and what doesnt...

but apart from that should be easy

awsome thanks was exactly what i wanted to know, i knew there would be thinks to look out for just couldnt work out what. i have searched google but couldnt seem to come up with anything except length, does anyone know any sites that have all these dimensions on an 08?

scrap that idea i saw one thats had it done, doesnt look at awsome as i thought it would. plus i dont have the equipment to relocate and shock mounts on the bike sending it out would start to make it to costly for me. i'll just have to go with the single side conversion if anything.
