hi, this is the bitch ive been working on since last easter 2009, it is almost finished so i will share with you all what ive done to it. i bought it through evilbay, it chucked the owner off at a round abt and he got it roughly fixed up and put it up for sale, thats were i come into the picture, was just the bike i wanted to streetfighter so we agreed a price and i got a plane to london looked at it and done the dirty bit and rode it back home to northern ireland, was abt 400 miles and this was my first ride of any distance on a plastic rocket. was a great ride home and the weather was fantastic.

it looks well in picture but up close was rough as a badgers arse, no offence mr badger. but it was going to be ripped apart and all her insides laid out for show.
i have streetfightered a hornet 600 and this was my next project, the bug had truly bitten hard.

first thing was to stripe it down and give her a good scrub

as you can see the rad has touched the ground at 1 time or maybe a few times lol, this had to be replaced, also there is no honda name on caseing, you can guess why.

next the lump needed attention and alot cause it had to be painted

i wantd to fill in air intakes so i cut metal to fit and welded it and filled in with filler, i made the metal in fills to hang out over the frame as to let this hungry girl suck in air.

evilbay again and this time i got a high level exhaust tho i have since give the can a chop

http://www.asfphotos.com/upload/1263375161.jpg

now the tail, was going to change it then decided to keep the original as it seemed to go with the flow of the front of bike and i do like the led lights on tail and the sharpness on end of tail, so i filled in holes around the tail and made the tail to be screwed on from the inside to give it smooth clean lines, and cut off any hooks that was under tail and evilbay coughed up a seat cowl that i colour coded

next was the front mud guard and a belly pan, i filled in holes that held the front brake lines and did some cut outs at front of guard. i looked on web for a belly pan but what i seen was not what i wanted so with the original plastics that were already damaged i set abt making one, by this time i was ready to prime the panels and just needed to wait for a quiet spell in work so my boss would let me prime them. here is pic of guard and belly pan.

after panels were primed i still had no plans at that time for a nose cone but have that all sorted, next to do was paint the engine swing arm and cradel and bites all satin black, then i got the chance to paint frame, wheels, abm tope yoke and bottom yoke and risers all metalic grey just to go with the colour of the panels which you will all have to wait to see what i picked.

now the hard work and fun to put it back together,

slowly getting there

now at last she on her two wheels and gets a chance to see the outside world lol

the cardboard belly pan was to give an idea how it might look before i started to butcher the original plastics

to be continued....
