Hey guys wondering if AfR10 is looking like it'll go ahead? I know there was some issues with last year and a comp is running to try and recoup some costs. But gotta say the show was great and I'll be up for another run there rain or shine!

Mate I'v been wondering the same thing myself! Safe to say we wont be goin to casino this year... Maybe a state by state thing would be more appropriate! I was thinkin getting the VIC n NSW crews together wouldnt be too difficult tho, & would be more than enuf to cause mischief in which ever poor town has to put up wit us!

There won't be anything at Casino mate.
Not sure what is happening yet...but we will do something...

Is the fact Casino is outta the scene just down to the costs? Cos it was a great venue, and the 10 hour ride each way was half the fun! :-D

What ever form it takes I'll be there, hopefully with a couple more converts!

Does this mean we are having a pub run for AFR, or nothing is getting organised?

Let's move this topic to the main Streetfighters area.

Yes, AFR in APRIL will be a pub run and we'll definitely have a laugh.

If we can get enough interest from sponsors and anybody out there who can lend a hand we will also try and see if we can arrange a full show at Casino later in the year. No promises as there are a lot of hurdles to cross first.

I thought 08 was fucking kick arse and 09 would have been as good or better had it not been for the rain (which I hold Si fully responsible for)

Sounds great.

AFR goes back to a run/ride and we look to having a scaled back (but just as much action) weekend of drags/stunting/speedruns at Casino in winter

I may or may not have a bike at that stage, but what I will have is a vehicle capable of being an admin vehicle capable of taking peoples gear down or to tow a bike trailer down if required :). I have only missed one AFR since joining ASF and this year will be no exception. Bring it on.

I'll supply the bosses truck for the weekend Gix. Whoever I'm working for at the time. If it's a fridge van that'll be even better cause then we can keep the drinks in it!

Oh and Ill cover the fuel and drive the thing too.

So what does the afr pub run usualy consist off... guessing lots of pubs! But what sort of area would it be in and what distance? A run over the weekend or a day thing?

Madness later in the year sounds great, If the hangovers not as harsh this year I might even make it down the drag strip! :-D

It was such a shame that AFR09 didn't make enough to cover costs, this is such an awesome event, a one of a kind in Australia, I hope this doesn't spell the end for the event in future. A pub run for this year still sounds awesome, I'm keen for both AFR and another event in september if it eventuates. Hopefully the Pub run AFR for this year isn't too far south, so the queensland people can ride down and join in the fun, hopefully around the middle of NSW, i've got about 6 bikes keen to go. cheers

What about the poor bastards all the way dwn in Vic? They travelled for about 20hrs to make it to Casino last year... Its got to be worth it for them too!

On this topic, there are a lot of people who have donated or bought tickets in the SAVE OUR AFR COMP.
For those who haven't and can scrape up a few bucks grab a ticket or two. I think Si was speaking about the possibility of an early draw. Lets see if we can't polish off the remainder of the tickets before that. I know not everyone is in a position to do so in these tough times, but if you can...

Evil Homer says 'hell yeah'. If we don't use any stopwatches then it's not a competition event according to the insurance types, just like-minded individuals enjoying the country air, which makes it a lot more affordable.

Good Homer agrees with Cruise but strangely doesn't get a look in.

How bout a ride down, Saturday ride day for those who want to, hanging around the pits and ogling toys in the pits, and mayhem in town on saturday night before a slink home on sunday?
