250 sprockets

First up Gday all[8D]

I sold my 600 ands I was looking for a cheap bike to get me thru the summer until I could get the a new toy and I picked up a ZXR250 that needed some love ,anyway it almost ready for rego and I want to resprocket it so I can have some fun well as much fun as you can have on a 250 . Just wondering if anyone has put a large rear sprocket on a 250 and if so how big did they go and what was the result .
The one on there now is 48 tooth I was thinking of 56/58 but I am not sure if this is to much ?? would 53ish be better

Hi Yella, welcome aboard mate. You do realise that you will loose some top end doing that? Seeing how 250s aren't the fastest things anyway, unless you're trying your hand at stunting I wouldn't bother as being passed by GN250s might upset you. What was your motivation to do it?
