Hi guys. Paul here from Caboolture just wanting to say hi. I am looking to get out on some rides soon, and enjoy actually riding my bike.

Have a GSXR750K4 Sleeper. I dont have the cool cosmetic bits, but i certainly can appreciate them. I was wanting my bike to be stock-looking with surprising power.

I dont think so. I guess it depends on what i can get away with and not be hassled by the plod! I have been through too many licences as it is.

I wouldnt mind just doing the bars and headlight and eliminate the fairing, but not too sure yet.

Welcome aboard mate.

Forgive my ignorance here but I thought K4 just stood for the year build. If that's the case, what have you done to the motor that makes it a 750 sleeper? Or is it a 1000 painted up as a 750?

Welcome. Very nice.

"100% Street Legal"
You need to give some of the many Turbo Busa guy's some tip's then.
I keep getting told that after market Turbo's are never 100% legit.

I'd be VERY keen to do my Busa or King but can't affort to lose a
bike or a licence,

Any tip's ?

Not sure if you are in QLD or not, but just get someone who is approved to do QLD Transport enineering and modification plates. I have had it all passed by them, and they attached a plate to the bike verifying it as approved by Qld Transport to ride on the road. The plod (traffic police) only issue fines based on the transport rules (or criminal law etc), so that will be fine.

I also have it insured through Shannons as Turbo'd and is surprisingly quite cheap.

I used to do web development, but now only do websites for our own businesses.

Currently only on a 8psi tune it makes 166hp and around 95ft/lb. More than the standard height chassis and standard length swing arm can cope with. ;)

Welcome aboard mate, quite the mod list ya sneak, def couldnt tell by looking at it, sleeper well achieved.. slighlty confussed though, how much $$ did it take for that power output on a 750? my best mate just bought a k4 1000 Yellow, 11500 kms, put on yoshi, K&N, new plugs thats it, got dynoed last week 161 rear wheel hp.. $8500.. just throwing it out there..

Put it this way, if you are worried about $$$, just sell the 750 and buy a 1000. This is way more fun than 161hp and 75ft/lb of torque in a litre bike. with 20 more ft/lb of torque, it make it a hell of a lot more fun. Power wheelies in 3rd no problem, at not even full throttle is what i like about it. Cant do that on a $8000 litre bike. :)

Cost close to $15k all up, including the bike, but it is the sleeper concept i was after - not just the bike - if that makes sense.

Yeah def makes sense.. just wondering the price difference between either.. obviously would be funny seeing you line up at strip and have the sticker on the back on 2 yellow gixers mean nothing.. Your bike, your goal, well achieved.. Im last person to be worried bout money.. spent $4000 motarding an XR250.. not everyones cup of Tea.. but i love it.. as long as your smiling all is good. cheers..
